Harry Watling new Ebbsfleet United manager. Ex Gills assistant manager David Kerslake is the new number 2. Watling worked under Michael Beale at QPR and Rangers.

Or wasn’t an option or wanted someone with their Pro Licence?

I believe that Mike Williamson, who "left" MK Dons and has subsequently joined Carlisle Utd as manager, was offered the vacant managers role at AFC Fylde prior to agreeing the deal in Cumbria.

Would AFC Fylde have paid the £200,000 release clause to release Williamson from his MK Dons contract?

I know the Chmn was very keen on him; and money has not held Fylde back in the past. Chmn turned down that much (£200K) a couple of weeks ago when Posh came calling for one of several hot prospects at the club.

Ebbsfleet United have just parted company with manager Harry Watling. Was in charge for only 3 months. The Fleet are having a torrid time and currently sit rock bottom of the NL.

Josh Wright will be the Manager going forward with David Kerslake as assistant.

Keep an eye on Southend United - now just one point outside the play-offs, playing well and facing a pretty friendly 8 game run-in.

Barnet are in a very strong position and have a 12 point lead on second placed, and faltering, York City. The NL play-offs could be quite tight and fought between well backed teams like the aforementioned, plus the likes of Oldham.

A record NL play-off Final Wembley crowd is well and truly on the cards....

York well backed indeed . Nerves are getting to them.

Nothing much cleared up over this weekend in terms of the play-offs. Barnet are all but up and keep winning, especially thanks to wobbly form from practically all those currently in play-off berths. Gateshead on a mission to totally horlicks it up which given the way they finished their season last year is a bit sad. Form sides in the chasing pack look to be Southend and remarkably Tamworth, although the latter will probably just run out of games I'd imagine. At current rates Southend look a good bet to take the place of either Gateshead or Rochdale who have been similiarly dodgy in recent weeks. York, FGR and Oldham look almost set, Halifax could probably do with 3 wins from their remaining 8 to be sure and then it's going to be a bit of a dogfight for the remaining 2 spots. Exciting league as ever!
