The Mile Jedinak Thread

They have to bed in now and gel quickly particularly when you think we have a new centre back pairing playing in front of a new goalkeeper trying to build up an understanding on back balls and who and how they are dealt with.

from the way i see him play in the first game, i believe we now have 3 leaders on the pitch. ross in attack, mile in midfield and tommy in defence. thats one hell of a spine!

Very good point mate, wasn't thinking of Ross up front. Fantastic transformation

Fantastic signing. The type of midfielder we've been yearning for for years

It's astounding to see how much stronger are first XI looks now compared to last season. Shows what an absolute balls up the previous regime made on the transfer front.

Great signing , the spine of the team looks very strong indeed.

An early contender for beard of the season as well. In fact I think he has already won it.

If he replaces Westwood then it's the signing of the summer

I have doubts about that he may well replace Ayew or Grealish . Our Aslhey seems to have a charmed life where Villa managers are concerned

An absolutely fantastic signing, I love the new backbone of our team, tough, combative, leadership qualities, just brilliant. Fucking bring it on!!!! :94: :94: :94:

I have to say i don't know anything about him to pass comment other than...
If my fellow vital villans are happy, then i'm happy!

Yup, as said for me, I'm buzzing because so many others are buzzing but then, having read some Palace fans comments and those amongst us who also know him, it looks tip top to me.

As said, another leader, another captain, sounds just the thing !

First noticed him when Palace came back from 3-0 down against Liverpool to ruin their league hopes. He was the one that drove them on even though it seemed a lost cause. Just the type of character we need and he has plenty of experience and not to shabby a player either.

Now sirdennis is one fellow Vital Villan whose opinion I value highly and will listen to and learn from.

So if the hirsute Aussie is good enough for sirdennis, then he's good enough for this glensider chappie.

Just read a stat on Twitter, apparently top interceptions and tackles combined over the last 4 Premiership seasons! Wow. He's one on those rare players that love sitting in front of the back 4 and breaking up play.
Keeps the game moving, plays simple passes.
Scores a fair few headed goals, soars ala Lion Heart.
Free Kick specialist as well.
Leader on the pitch and most importantly seems to like leaving a foot/elbow in afterwards. During the 2nd half yesterday, their no10 ran the show. I reckon the Jed would have sorted that out.

Ironically enough Paddy75, their number ten last night (who did indeed run us ragged second half) is also an Aussie.

Seems very much as if our antipodean cousins breed pretty decent midfielders, as well as often as not, quite useful cricketers.

With that beard he's already my idol! Seriously though, great signing!

The best beard at VP since Olof the Viking

Now for a RB - be it Gunnarsson, Trippier loan [would the spuds loan him out?] , if not then another great beard would be just fine.

Just watched him on youtube Tackling ,belting in 25 yarders , headers , penalties and getting nasty with his elbows .

Evil bar steward just what we lack.

I also agree with Glensider about Huddersfield s number 10 he ran the show second half against our lightweight midfield . Perhaps he's one for the future (no idea who he is)
