The Masters

One Bloody Number
Can't wait for this weekend. Just awesome weekend of sport. The Villa, The Grand National, and The Masters. Pure joy. Bad luck Natalie, the remote control is mine for the next 4 days!

Just can't see past Rory for this. He's just on a completely different level to the rest of the field. Spieth is a great up and coming player, Bubba, DJ, Scott, Mickelson, Day an Fowler all have chances if they play to their best, but that's the difference for me. If they play to their best they have a chance.

If Rory plays to his best he wins.

Go on Rory my son!!!! :70:

I think this weekend is my favourite sporting weekend of the whole year. Also England start a test match in the West Indies on Monday.

Rory's record at Augusta is poor really .I would love him to win but can't see it.

Adam Scott for me.

yeah agree his overall record is poor, but don't forget he was 4 shots clear going into the back 9 on the Sunday the one year, so he has it in him to play well there.

He actually says the course sets up for his game, and he's twice the player now than he was this time last year, or in years before.

Just think its his to throw away.

Gonna be interesting to see how Woods does.

Don't like the bloke, not even with the current charm offensive in full flow, but no doubt about it, seeing him compete would be great for the sport.

Funny how each year sees the same names near the lead , more so than any other golf major. Probably because it the course that suits certain players.

I expect to see Rose , Scott , Mickleson and Watson near the top at some point.

Yeah, you can almost pick the top 10 can't you? Like you say it's such a specialist course, where experience is key, and the fact its the only major played at the same venue each year means the same players always contest.

Top 10 will look something like -

1. Mcilroy
2. Watson
3. Scott
4. Day
5. Fowler
6. Mickelson
7. Spieth
8. Rose
9. Westwood
10. Cabrera

STAN JAMES HAVE GONE CRAZY!!!!

Rory is best priced 6/1 everywhere and has been for weeks.

Stan James are currently offering 10/1!!!

I was already on Rory for the out and out win at 11/2, but have just topped up at those odds and gone each way.

I'm now officially balls deep into Rory McIlory.

Stand to win a fortune, or lose most of my Grand National kitty.

I have £10 e/w on Mickelson at 22-1. If he wins it it will pay for my season ticket next year. If he finishes in the top five I will have a good night out.

I've just seen on a news programme that mclroy is not doing so well.
Meanwhile I'm watching IPL

Yes, love the Masters Sir Den. Not so sure I agree that his record is poor, he played 63 near perfect holes a couple of years ago until that devastating back nine capitulation, but in golf that can just happen, last year he was top 10. I will be amazed if he doesn't win more than once in his career.

-1 is a good solid start for Rory, especially considering the way he played. It could have been a lot worse.

Problem is Spieth has set a massive target at -8. He's so consistent, Spieth that you can't really see him having a disasterous round, so you've got to assume the winning target is gonna be atleast -14 now.

Can Rory play the next 3 days in -13 to put him self in contention? It's a big ask. Needs a good -5 today to get the ball rolling.

Yes , it all set up for a fascinating tournament now with the chasing pack probably having to take risks in order to catch Speith up.

My prediction - Speith won't win it. There is so much pressure leading from the front. Rory caved the first time he experienced it in a Major.

I like the look of Day to win. He's got that bit more experience, and seems to like the Course.

Yeah Day always does well here. Surprising really as I don't really think of him as a massive hitter, and this course tends to suit big hitters, but he is always top 10.
