One Bloody Number
Well after my roaring success at the Grand National (backing 4 horses and none of them finishing), here comes another chance to throw some money down the drain.
It's all about 4 people for me, and I'll be whittling that down to 2 over the next couple of days before placing my bet.
Rather boringly my first 2 are heading the market but you just can't ignore McIlroy or DJ on current form and also Masters form. I'd be amazed if they are both not top 10 at least come Sunday night, and with Skybet offering places up to 10th, both must be worth an e/w shout although as with Tiger Roll on Saturday the low odds are putting me off a bit..... do i make the same mistake twice?
My 3rd pick is a bit of a shot to nothing... Jordan Spieth. He's been dog shit for a year now, and the putter has gone cold, but his Masters record T2, 1, T2, 3, T11 is incredible. His whole career he's always made a point about peaking at the right time, and what better time than to peak than at a course you are truely comfortable at. At 22/1 it's tempting to take a punt.
My last pick, is based on trends. As with the Grand National the Masters does lend itself to following the trends due to it being an unusual course, and played a the same course every year.... going by trends the winner should be... Hideki Matsuyama. Well worth an e/w punt at 35/1
