The laugh at Sheffield United thread

I know they have beaten their points total but this blunts team has to be worse than Direby they just concede & concede it’s embarrassing

And this is why it winds me up when someone will come out with crap like "Ohhh this Forest team would be a mid table Championship side". Burnley and Blunts absolutely tore that league a new arsehole and look at them now. It only highlights why we and numerous other clubs had to buy a whole metric feck of players just to even have a chance.
Yep, is this what the premier want? A league where only a handful can win anything and you get results like this due to sides not being able to compete financially. There is a lot of talk that Leicester could be bordering on FFP limits as well as Villa.Sounds like it's just the start with Everton and Forest and the Prem is gonna be less competitive.

What is amazing is the huge gulf between us and Sheffield United.

We were miles better than them at the CG but didn't show it in the result, and we had a fraction of the team then that we do now

We lost narrowly to Arsenal 2-1 and could have got a draw while these are being murdered.

It's not just the gulf to Arsenal, it gulf in class to even 4th bottom

I just thought '6-0', looked back at the BBC page and yes, it was 6-0.

Either I have telepathic powers or I just got lucky about when.

yes quite right, it's a rather short sighted point of view though in my opinion. Can't see TV companies keep coughing up the big bucks if you get a succession of matches like this served up. in many ways I wish the "big 6" had been allowed to go off & form their super league, could just have left the rest of us to get on with some proper football matches

Whilst its a noble wish, the product would be substandard and unlikely to be anywhere close to a Premier League.

Thinking the top division in English football could do without the likes of Man U, Arsenal or Liverpool is a bit deluded.

Will our overseas friends pay top dollar for a league without them, and the others?

Maybe it would be a more equitable competition, but, my word, would the football be shite on the eye.

Quite right, chap.

Sure the blunts would be comforted by the £100m+ in TV revenue, plus the parachute payments.
Looking at their transfers, excluding loans, they've apparently spent around E67m this season, around £65m-ish.

Presume they can keep their better players, they ought to be favourites for promotion out of the champs next season.

Especially with amortisation, there's a decent profit on their transfer business, there.

Just trawling the Blunts forums and they are openly celebrating what minute they left the match. As much as I dislike the utter bellends, I don't remember the shaggers leaving so early during their record breaking season.

Good chance Blades end up with worse GD. Already -50.

One win. Top scorer? K Miller - 4
