The King is dead RIP BB

Vital Football Legend
ng, known for his hits My Lucille, Sweet Little Angel and Rock Me Baby, died in his sleep in Las Vegas.
Born in Mississippi, King began performing in the 1940s, going on to influence a generation of musicians and work with Eric Clapton and U2.
Once ranked as the third greatest guitarist of all time, he had been suffering ill health in recent months.
He was recently taken to hospital with a diabetes-related illness.

This says nothing the man was a musical god. Saw and met him at the Royal Albert Hall back in I think 89. A warm and generous human being. Life is short people like this man make it sweet. Rest in peace big man the thrill will never be gone.

Can't say I'm a jazz aficionado, but enjoy BB king when the mood took me.

Always sad as the greats go.

The Thrill is Gone (one of his greatest tunes). Had a BB /Blues session last Fri in honour.

a genuine legend and the last of the Blues greats to leave us.

All hail him, Muddy Waters, Howlin Wolf, Elmore James, John Lee Hooker, Sonny Boy Williamson and all the pantheon of Blues legends
