A player who has signed a contract and is a real prospect . I am sick of hearing about the other guy.

Now hope Bruce gives him a few runs / bench time etc and he floursihes.

He's played Non League football , at 17 I think . A real man who knows when he;s on a good thing .
Imagine going from Non League to Bodymoor Heath , he must have to pinch himself every morning, unlike the other idiot who takes things for granted

Great stuff... hope he smashes it and is soon having his name chanted from all four corners of Villa Park.

Great thread Si

Davis looked a beast - absolute quality.

Honestly didn't think he was that good, he bullied them from what I've seen and heard.

He could be exactly what makes us tick I hope.

The only time I've seen him before was the Brighton game last season where he looked terrified the 1st 20 minutes or so then came into it and looked a player. His performance yesterday was on another level entirely though, extremely impressive. Not bad for someone we got on a free from Biggleswade town.

A great debut. What a difference when you've got a centre forward who wins the ball, shields it, lays it off, can turn with the ball under control and generally terrorises a pair of centre backs.
I'd give him 60 to 70 minutes against Wigan then bring RHM on.

No more favouritism. No more players dining out on past glories. Davis played better than any of strikers have this season so should be in the first XI until someone outperforms him.

And why it's blatantly obvious to anyone who saw today's game that Davis offers far more than Gabby does, why do I get the horrible feeling that Gabby will be straight back in the first team as soon as he's available. Fingers crossed Bruce has learnt his lesson.

Absolute must start next Friday surely, brilliant performance. Only wish that one effort went in and not off the bar, would've really capped it off.

If he does as well as Keith Leneord from Highgate United that won't be bad at all will it.
And Ian Taylor via Moor Green

There was a chance before the first goal where Davis gets the ball just ahead of the centre circle. I said 'gets' but I should say takes. He uses his body and takes two touches to leave the defender in the dust. He then runs straight for the goal before laying it off to Hourihane who misses.

The only player I've seen play like that is Benteke. Outstanding.

Great movement as well as strength, and plenty of skill. He's the makings of an extremely good player. Maybe it'll feed back to the other youngsters, as well.

About time Lyden had an outing.

I think davis put in one of the best centre forward performances I have seen for a long time. The supporters will back the manager if he is brave enough to play the younger , hungrier players.

Hats off to whoever signed him.

Wasn't paddy oreilly was it ?

:3:

No Idea I think it was under Sherwood but I'm guessing a youth scout as he was only 17 and had been released by Stevenage Youth team.
Who cares but he could turn out to be a a real find

Steve Bruce has rightly picked out youngster Keinan Davis for praise following his full debut against Norwich City earlier today.

Dec 2015 = Sherwood, although I doubt he "signed" him. It must have been a club signing.

Yeah for sure - but is he, if he reverts in any way, shape or form, to his normal self against Bristol City citing a tough away game needing different tactics, then stuff him. He needs to shore up the defence so I can see him leaving out an inexperienced [how do you get experience] striker out and putting the shackles back on the midfield. Let us see.
Davis was stellar and any manager who drops him is a dick

I think Garde was in by that point, though I have blocked out large parts of that season. The 1st time I remember seeing his name was when he appeared on the bench against Norwich in the game where gabby scored but refused to celebrate. No one around me had any clue who he was and not even a search on Google yielded any result.

Fans in high spirits and high praise for the full debut of Keinan Davis

Sorry but there is more than a splattering of mumbo jumbo in there. For someone who has proved so reluctant to give the youngsters a go, he makes it sound like the complete opposite is the truth.
