The Jordan Amavi Thread

Completely different player after his injury I thought. Although he’s still only 25, so a long way to go.

Talking of old left backs, I always thought Ryan Bertrand was a quality player although he doesn’t ever get a mention when it comes to good left backs - maybe because he was on loan.

? I hated Joe Bennett, seeing him get torn apart even in league cup games at Swindon haunts me.

I’d love to see us sign that James Justin (if that’s his name, could be the other way around) but that’s gone quiet.

There is a player that contributed towards us coming up giving away a peno which is obviously fate, if we need a dependable and experienced left back then Kieran Gibbs would do a job for a year or two. If he’s settled in the area it could make sense to pinch him and prove to the baggies who’s the bigger club. A mate of mine was dead against it but when I saw him earlier on in the season I thought he was quality for the Baggies

Swindon and Bradford was just as bad. I think the full back role has changed these days. The emphasis seems far more on ability going forward and defence secondary.
 
Amavi was shite, attitude, gloves, lightweight.
No thanks.
None of these tossers like him, veretout, ayew should darken our doors again.
 
Amavi looked the real deal before he got injured

He would be at one of Europe’s too clubs had he not been injured. Weren’t Atletico trying to buy him at one point, but backed out after a medical?

I certainly never thought he was “shite”
