Not intended as another "Really interesting thread" but as a place to post things that you wish to share just to fulfil your own desires, things that would otherwise not warrant a thread of their own. Somewhere you can share thoughts, Youtube clips and pictures that have no other natural home on VV, things that perhaps amuse you and might like to share with others.
 
I'll start us off with this short clip of Thunder playing in Paris. I like this clip for 2 reasons, firstly it's quite funny, secondly it showcases what an incredible voice Daniel "Donny" Bowes has, really quite astonishing vocal control!

Surely that's a monochrome giraffe (f such a thing exists)
 
I had no idea that Benteke could fit an entire Fanta can in his mouth. That is Benteke, right?

I'd like to share my poem:

'I walk,
ever slower,
ever grey,
an elk,
she is crying,
why must these violins play so?

Daylight now,
Julian can't find the Brasso,
it will not be exposed,
it is gone,
yet all shines dull,
rotunda, majesty, a glass, A GLASS.

She sits,
the beetle,
the earwig's lament,
heaven,
creeps with no eyes,
say this is love for I can't be certain.'

Not sure it belongs in a thread with 'self indulgent' in the title but I think we can all agree it's pretty deep stuff...

My Mum used to tell me to be honest.My Dad always taught me to be honest except for when you had to lie in order to protect people.
I`ve decided to be honest :
McGrath,don`t be offended,but that really is a load of old bollocks.

I suppose the ultimate self-indulgence is to fart, wherever you are and whatever the company. Our oldest son said that he knew that he was marrying the right girl because he was comfortable breaking wind in her company.
