As said in the Masters thread this weekend is one of the greatest sporting weekends in the calender and the Grand National plays a big part in that.

Love the National.

I'm not massively into horses, but I always get interested around Cheltenham and am propped pumped up by the time the National comes round.

Always put together a massively convuluted spreadsheet based on trends to try and find the winner and always seem to come pretty close.

This year the stand out picks are -

HOLYWELL @ 16/1

Silviniaco Conti will win this FACT. The others can start now with the exception of The Last Samuri and Many Clouds.

Dual King George , Betfair chase winner and back to form last time and he isn't even top weight.
 
He's top of my trends spreadsheet too, so that just about seals it. lol

He's the right age. He's won more races over 3 miles than any horse in the field, he's won more races worth over 17K in prize money than any other horse in the field.

The only negative on him is his weight... trends say nothing over 11-4 tend to win usually but I'm prepared to overlook this given how strong he smashes every other trend.
 
The last Samurai & Many Clouds preference in that order bish bash bosh thank you very much.
 
So basically the top 3 favourites then?

Come on boys, you've gotta try a bit harder than that. lol
 
Well I did back The Last Samuri at 33s a while back and tbh Deano I can't see past it will have a study later on.
Sirden you won't give up on Conti will ya mate lol not sure he's the same horse as a couple of seasons ago but the class horse in the race that's for sure.
 
Won well but beat one of the most disappointing horses of all time in Dynaste and the very fact he finished second you would have to think it wasn't a great race.

You won't put me off gator. The other races are hard to call , you never know if the Cheltenham horses have recovered in time.
 
HAHA I know that mate you love him lol yeah I always try to steer away from horses that have run at Cheltenham that's why I like Arzal so much tomorrow plus I think the flat course will really play to his strengths.
