Great start for Lewis as Verstappen goes wide and drops to second. Maybe that lack of downforce that gives Red Bull the extra speed down the straight was their undoing.

Interesting race, Lewis is right, still got good points. Merc won't like being outsmarted by Red Bull, so should set up a good battle next weekend.

Bottas should have held Verstappen up instead of just letting him past. He seems to be going backwards this season.
His tyres were shot, he'd have had no chance, just like Hamilton couldn't stop Verstappen get by, and if anyone could, it would be Hamilton.

He always destroys his tyres far sooner than Hamilton but also kept making silly mistakes and losing concentration. He should have been further ahead of Verstappen than he was.

From bits I've read, Bottas wasn't slow in coming forward during the race criticising the decision to not listen to 'the drivers' when it came to the tires.

To be fair to him, he did tell the team (Before Red Bull made the decision for Verstappen) that he needed to make it a 2 stop race. Not heard him so angry on the radio to the team before.

Yes he did but I think his anger got the better of him and he seemed to lose concentration as a result.
