It is incredible the knots you can find and the funny thing with these sorts of things is although your mind says get off the painful parts, with releasing knots, you have to concentrate ON the painful parts!

Had a great session yesterday, the day before was stretching and what not, yesterday was the power day. Instead of doing the kettlebell routine at the end, I did battle ropes (exhausting) and then had a 40 minute boxing session, which due to the programme, then being rudely interrupted by a flair up, I've not been able to do for a good few weeks. Was refreshing to get stuck in, I was drenched at the end of it, which is great!

today is the lighter session and stretching again, then I finish the week with another heavy lifting day.

Do you use your kettlebell for goblet squats and other bits and bobs as well? Hope so. Not the same thing on auto repeat so to speak.

Yes. Squats , lunges , get ups , clean and lift, rows. When I got the kettlebell I signed up to get a complete exercise package from this bloke

Being a novice I liked the way he presented the exercises and also the workouts were varied .

I am doing this routine at the moment .

Don't know why he is supporting himself with the rows, why not tense your core and work your body fully? You don't need the hand resting on the opposite leg.

Nice cheerful fella isn't he!? :grinning:

Would you put your hand down by your side then ?

I did a quick test with a dumbbell, he is definitely making it easier, just wondered in one of his videos if he had said why. I wouldn't really understand why he wouldn't want to challenge his core more. Do what feels comfortable but try it without supporting yourself and see the difference. Doesn't really matter where the arm/hand goes, just did a little stance to see, as long as you aren't holding your leg/knee, could be by your side, although that feels a bit unnatural, just at an angle helping with balance, whatever really. Will see if I can do a selfie and whatsapp as not sure how to explain!

when he says he can't stress enough you must keep that back flat, he should be saying to tense the abs, tense the glutes, engage your muscles, hold a solid position. That's when you bring in other muscles and get more bang for your buck.

(Oh and when tensing, not to forget to breath! LOL Seriously, you tense everything it is amazing how often you hold your breath, as pointed out to me once by Juan Mourep)
