A small fine and a slap on the wrist is all that was needed.

This is ridiculous. I know we all have to tread on eggshells these days political correctness wise and a CEO etc even more so, but ffs,

Shame the FA don't look a bit closer why fans (it was a fan tweet re-tweeted) are saying what they are saying about refs instead of being so precious.

I've got a disability, I don't see the tweet as insulting, so why are they insulted on 'my' behalf.

How many times over the years have we (fans etc) said the ref must be blind? Is that anti disabled?

It's a joke, but the FA hate us and will take any opportunity to stick the boot in. This is just the latest example following Bacuna's ridiculously excessive ban last season. They are complete idiots (I could be more insulting, but don't want to incur a 3 week ban from Vital :3: )
 
As he'd already realised his mistake and apologised surely a quick word in his ear that his transgression had been noticed was all that was required.
 
You'd have thought so wouldn't you TMG? Especially when he asked for a personal hearing so he could go and yet again apologise. They've basically hauled what appears a good sound man over the coals for no real good reason. They could have looked at the work they are all putting into the Aston Villa Foundation to see the intent behind the club.

I'm disgusted quite frankly. I lost a 1/3 of a finger on my right hand 27 years ago. Keith wyness hang your head in shame . :25:
 
Football authorities let power go to their heads - occasionally their own despicable behaviour is found out, most of them aren't football people at all. This time it is the FA, then we have the ridiculously inconsistent FIFA who hammer Barca & Atletico but reduce the sanction on Madrid. The same FIFA who awarded the Champions League final to a city that has just 4000 hotel beds [less all the best ones they pre booked for themselves and their mates] - plain stupid. Today they have announced that they are to review the way CL Finals are allocated - too effing late. Dummies.
Football is run by the wrong people.

How does the song go .... 'The referees a wan*er' or indeed 'whose the bas*ard in the bla*k' ..... I see ground closures should such things be heard in the future
 
Meanwhile, a chelsea player gets sent off for a second bookable offence, which just happened to be a dive, in the showpiece event for the organisation- the FA cup final. And the manager defends the player after the game saying it wasn't a dive he was TIRED!.

Jokers.

 
Tired or not, he was plain useless. Sometimes wonder if players having a bad game take the risk of getting sent off to get out of the limelight. Good refereeing.

The Wyness thing is ridiculous. The FA don't have the courage to use their judgement; they hide behind a very basic interpretation of the rules. But it's what you expect of the FA.
