The Ezri Konsa Thread

I love Konsa, he’s a class player on his day.

We need a natural right back, so that he can tuck back in to right centre back as he’s excellent cover for the right back.

I too didn’t like the arms being thrown at times when we could’ve got back into position. He had a tough time against a fast player and didn’t get any support from the midfield.

He should be banging on Unai’s door to point out we are shocking in the centre of defence, embarrassingly bad, whilst he is stuck on the right of the defence.

He's good as a centre back but occasionally prone to misjudging his positional responsibilities and then starts passing the blame on by finger wagging and throwing his arms up at his fellow defenders.

It's clear to anyone he looks uncomfortable playing right back, and he and our results are paying the price for the club not getting a suitable experienced player that would be comfortable in the defensive system Emery prefers.

Infuriates me just as me just as much as Grealish, he bombs forward, checks and back it goes, i know he is not a winger but come on, just hoof it in there!!

He got into some good advanced positions yesterday and I was shouting at the telly 1st time cross but then he'd turn back and it'd end up back in our own half with Diego, cue more shouting at the telly

And there would be equal amount of groans as the ball sailed behind the goal.

He isn't a rb, so shouldn't be judged on rb duties. My beef yesterday was the CB stuff he didn't do, like dealing with a long ball over the top.

Got very lucky with the no foul goal, he has to trayed whicch piss me off. 1 he always gies down went a forward touches him, he been cought out a few times now and why oh why does always pass back, he is sooo negative.

I have a quandary with Konsa.

I can't tell if he is following Unai's instructions to the letter or he is crap.

If Unai has told him to slow play down, ensure we retain possession and draw the opposition up the pitch towards us - he is doing a brilliant job.

If that is not the brief, he is slowing play down, failing to see runs and forward passes and not getting the ball forward quickly enough.
