£12m. No offence to Axel but thank god he believed Ole's bullshit about getting a chance at Utd. Thank god Dean Smith pushed for this lad as he has turned into one of the best CBs I've seen at Villa Park. Certainly the best we've had since the days of King Olof and Laursen.

I'm a tad confused
Konsa has been the ultimate rock since he joined. Even when we were a lot shitter than now he had some crazy stats. Im going to bed so I'm not going to find them but one was something like he was only dribbled past twice in a whole season.

Ezri was the England age group choice over Axel, so it was clear to most that he was the better footballer even then. The trajectory of both their careers has been polar opposites since Axel was at Villa in the Championship. It's nice that we made the right choice, because they weren't a common thing back then.
Think Unai could have improved Axel as he had all the attributes, but glad that we are currently stuck with Ezri

Now that his distribution has improved he is becoming a exceptional defender. I'd prefer that he doesn't play in that right back position too often though.

Yeah, not a preference, but the more he plays there, the better he looks. He's a wonderful option now.

He is a superb centre back, he is a very good right back. Doesnt matter, emery trusts him in both positions over other players. Absolutely fantastic to see him flourish under emery.

No,no,no,no,no - I saw the POTM in action for that Yanited team that played brilliantly to only lose 3-0 at home to the mighty Bournemouth. No way could Ezri be better than him.

He just goes under the radar every time but he's one of the most important players for us,whether at centre half or right back. All the pundits will wank themselves silly over Diaz, Van Dyke,Saliba et al but he's up there with the best of them, and most importantly he's ours
