The Ezri Konsa Thread

If Southgate was man enough to ditch Slabhead, who can't even get in a very average 10th placed Manchester United team even with all their injuries at the back, we'd have some decent options at centre back. Stones is currently injured and will of course be in when fit, but after him you have Tomori, Guehi and yes Konsa. They are the three best options currently after Stones. I think Colwill will become a big player for England in future but needs a bit more experience and Dunk did well when given a chance for England against Scotland but is 32 this year and I think our man should be ahead of him.

Konsa is only 25 but has been a regular in the Premier League for 4 seasons now, he has had dips in form of course but is looking consistently brilliant these days, has held the defence together in the absence of Mings, his pass completion is consistently above 90%, and he can carry the ball high up the pitch which is perfect for international football.

And fresh from conceding 6 infront of Mr Boring Loser he picks Dunk.

And as he has just moved to Chelsea Colwell who didn't get a sniff while at BHA, guess what, picked.

Southgate is a liar and a fraud.
Next time he does show himself at Villa Park, he needs to get a full Volley from 42000, and a banner rolled out in the Holte telling him what a tosser he is.

What does this man have to do to get a sniff of a call up? Really stepped up this season after Mings injury.

Maguire - Less than 30 minutes played in the Premier league.

Colwill - playing LB in an awful Chelsea team

Dunk - hideously overrated Donkey fresh off an absolute disaster class performance in front of Southgate in which Konsa was near enough perfect.

He's also better than Tomori and the Palace lad but at least those 2 are in form.

Disappointed for Konsa but tbh why do we want any of our English lot being coached by that boring, uninspiring, predictable prat and his array of top coaches like….err…Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink! Better off staying at Bodymoor and getting some decent coaching in that fortnight from Unai and co!

Stones, Tomori and Guehi I can understand, all are very good defenders. I think Colwill has potential, but at this moment in time should stay with the U21s (he is still eligible), he has only been fast tracked because he plays for Chelsea. Dunk I think has some good qualities, but Konsa is a better defender and a lot younger. As for Slabhead the guy is a complete fraud and should be nowhere near the England squad yet Southgate keeps getting away with picking him with no journalist picking him up on it, unbelievable.

I wonder how long it is before Konsa starts looking into the possibility of representing Portugal.

Only reason for no picking him I can potentially entertain is that we have decent options on the right side, but the left don't. Maguire plays left side which is how he squeaks in.

Guehi and Colwill are left footed for example, so kind of leapfrog Konsa. Maguire though... Admittedly not as bad as people make out, but it's clear he can't play in dominant teams (high line etc).

Negative, boring Southgate will continue to pick him though because he can't build a dominant team. He's in for set pieces and sitting deep.

Konsa's prem form has been brilliant for almost a year now.

One of the biggest joke decisions by an international manager ever (barring grtting Kane to take corners).

Ezti, if you follow these sites, take a leaf out of Matty's book. Forget this 'Villa hating' clown, and swap your allegience to Portugal.

Matty can tell his grandkids, on top of everything else, he played with Lowendowski.

You prob have 12 months , tops 18 when you will be able to say 'I played with Ronaldo'

You deserve international football - go get it

Thought he was flawless yesterday. Like many others he's achieved a level I didn't think possible 12 months ago. Dealt with Antonio like he was a championship target man and looks so confident on the ball. Late on he had the ball on our byline with two attackers closing and he sent them the wrong way twice before calmly playing it out.

We all know he should have at least had a call up by now but I can't see it happening with England unfortunately. If Southgate still thinks trash like Maguire and Dunk are better than this lad now then I can't see anything is going to change his mind.
