On it’s way to Wembley for Monday’s big game.
I feel extremely disappointed that im not popping down there in their staid.
I’d cash in a checkatrade for a play off winners all day long.
Oh well...

Feck me, hark at you with your "I'd trade our national trophy for promotion" it's like the last 30 years never happened! Talk about giving the impression of a spoilt over-entitled fan of a top team trying to pick and choose the things they win...

Well It's definitely going to be a stadium of two halves even more so than when we played Shrewsbury.

Exeter had sold 10,500 as of yesterday and Coventry had passed 35,000 as of yesterday!

I am going to London on Monday!!! I bought a train ticket from Nottingham over a month ago at a cheap rate. I was convinced I could sell it to a County fan or Mansfield fan if we did not make it. I will go to London for the day anyway and avoid Wembley. I will not be sulking but reflecting on the two great seasons we have had. In the words of our leaders I shall be looking forward the journey next season!!!!

It's going to be even emptier for the League 1 final!

Shrewsbury don't appear to have sold anymore than the Checkatrade final if anything slightly less at the moment and Rotherham have sold 14,000

I think the Exeter match showed us we are not ready for League 1 yet. We would have been back in League Two next season in a much worse state. Let's sign some good players this summer and when promoted actually stay in League 1.

I actually think we stood a decent chance of staying in League 1 considering some of the sides in that league aren't significantly better than us now ( Walsall/Gillingham/Southend/Rochdale to name a few)

Probably nowhere near the top 6 but certainly a mid table finish could have been done

Tbh I don't agree with that at all! No one can say for certain that we will have a better season next season. We all hope we will and given the Cowley's track record I suspect we will but who knows. You always take promotion when you can get it and then deal with it. We now have a progressive board and spending power along with a much better infrastructure.

I don't think we would be straight back down at all. We would have been able to attract better players had we been in League 2 and we would have had a bigger budget. I think with a few quality additions we would have consolidated and more than held our own and finished around mid table

Would have been a much bigger re-building job for the Cowleys. At least this way, they can step up the quality of the squad more gently.
