Surprised I’ve bothered making this as I can’t really stand watching England or Southgate but given there’ll be no other football, it’ll at least keep us occupied.

So provisional squad includes Curtis Jones, who’s scored 1 premier league goal and got 1 assist but doesn’t include MGW with 5 PL goals and 10 assists. The bloke is useless
 
Is Jones as attacking though? MGW is in a battle with players like Bellingham and Foden so I wouldn’t expect him to be in that reckoning.

Personally I would be tempted to try him a bit deeper but doubt Southgate sees it that way…

Seems Southgate has woken up from his selection slumber and seen the light

MGW for me is his only omission which is baffling

No Henderson, Rashford, Chilwell which is good

Eze, Wharton, Quansah (will be a superstar) Branthwaite all in. Jones is a good player, but he really should have had MGW in the 30 at least
 
Shows how shit our defence is, though, that Luke Shaw is included whilst still being injured and not playing since Feb.

LB is an issue for England for sure. At CB, the future is much better now with Guehi, Quansah and Branthwaite alongside Stones.
Not sure if there are any decent young LB's out there
 
MGW is a good player but he can’t even do the basics right a lot of the time there’s no way he should be selected at present.

With better players, more possession in the team he's playing with, and better options he has the potential to offer more than Maddison and Grealish. Look at Palmer for his season
 
Probably confirm for MGW that if he has England aspirations he sadly needs to be playing for a higher profile club. Personally I don't see him as ready yet, & he is competing against our better players in his position

He would be fine as a Forest player if we were higher up the table. The issue is the competition in his position is frighteningly good…
 
Trafford being in the provisional squad is absolute parody by the way… the bloke is utterly shocking and many Burnley fans think he’s a key reason for their relegation - he’s their Turner/Vlach. How on earth is he in?
