The Emirates FA Cup Second Round Draw Thread

On the subject of televised matches. The 1st round replays selected for Tv are surprisingly: Oxford City v Tranmere and Salford City v Shrewsbury.

Home draw against a team with their best player missing, great opportunity to make the third round again.

Q: Who was the last manager to take Lincoln to the FA Cup third round on two separate occasions?

A: Graham Taylor, in 1975-76; what happened that season? We won the Fourth Division (ever so slightly). Like omens?

Taylor actually took City there three times, and three seasons in a row - 1974-75, 1975-76 and 1976-77.

The draw's gone down well on Cumbrian Net

Quotes - 'Bloody hell...anybody but them','Shocker of a draw', 'Well I had a list of the top five I didn't want to go to and Lincoln wasn't first on the list. . .it was third, but heyho, at least we know the way there', ' Some kind of evil forces of fate have been at work and all those non leaguers in the hat', 'The shittest of shite draws', ' Utterly utterly stinking draw'.

Good draw, can’t ask for much more than a team below us and at home. Nadeson not playing is the cherry on top.

Expecting a demonstration of the difference a wet pitch makes. Uti.

Still look back fondly on that trip to West Brom. We lost but a massive following and went to toe with them for 90mins. Smithy was exceptional against Giles (who was a decent player ?).
