The Emi Martinez Thread

Well, if going off what Arsenal fans are saying is an indicator, all of the responses on the BBC Sport article are saying that they're sad to see him go and that we've got a bargain.

He's gone straight into my FPL side, that's for sure :)
 
Great interview by him, really pleased by this signing, hopefully he''ll do fantastically for us. Always good building from the back, as Sir Alex Chewalot did
 
Crikey, two good pieces of news in 24 hours.....it’s got to start falling apart at the seams soon surely...l?! On a serious note, very happy with Martinez, hoping he can be our solid number one for a good few years, something we’ve lacked probably since the days of Brad Friedel. Thoughts of Arsenal fans tells us a lot about his ability and character. Good vibes about this one.
 
Yup another signing who seems to be a good, honest character as well. Was a classy goodbye to Arsenal fans.

No doubt he'll drop a clanger on his debut, but I think we've got ourselves a very good keeper here.

I'm almost getting a small bit excited about this season now as I'm sure there are more exciting signings to follow.
 
He is a big unit and quite eloquent. I was looking at the fans comments on his transfer on the BBC, very complimentary

Great news on Martinez - let's hope he both performs in his own right but also helps to settle our defence into a solid unit.

If we can also sign his homey Buendia that would be even better - TVM ;)
