The Emi Martinez Thread

Some of these saves. We would find it hard to replace him.

TBF, mate, most of those saves most PL keepers would have made, it's his presence we'd miss more than his saves. He's a good keeper without question, but put up Olsens highlights and see he also makes great saves.

They didn't even show his best saves either. Not many keepers if any would have made the ones v Bayern or Forest and he's virtually unbeatable on one v ones.

Incredible goalkeeper and one of the best if not the best I've seen .
I dunno, I've seen a few waltz around him the last season or so. I still think hes not as good as when Culter was here

Well Cutler left three years ago , so not sure on that.

Unai wouldn't have any old clown as goalkeeping coach either.
I think he's going backwards; he was noticeably back to his best at Bournemouth. Where he was his old box dominating self. He's a great keeper, but he has been better than he is now. I think he's got off lightly for his mistakes, including getting a red card at United. 11 players on the pitch and we get that point. Any other player getting a red in that game would still be getting stick now for costing us the CL place.

He wasn't as good last season for sure. There isn't a player alive who doesn't have a drop off in form at some stage. I think it's is just that and not just the start of a continued decline. No way would I be getting rid of him. Might as well sell everyone who has a dip in form.

Not seen anyone defend him for Man Utd either What does get overlooked is that he'd kept us in the game until that moment with 4 top top saves.

In short he's the best goalie around.

Don't forget that twat of a referee.
The Premier League put that rookie in that game on purpose to deliberately fuck us over.

The gospel according to Twitter now says amorin and united coaching staff are happy with onana and he is unlikely to move on so a move for martinez is now not being considered.

Which is a funny way of saying Onana is muck and nobody wants him so they can't afford Emi / now PSR isn't a factor, emi told them to f off and when they got there to f off again.

Who would pay 30m for Onana? On the other hand they think that Emi is worth 20m!

If they're happy with Onana, they must be happy finishing bottom half again. That guy would struggle in the Championship.

But hopefully we won't have to hear about Emi going there again, unless @tarzan has another freak out, lol
