The Emi Martinez Thread

There's zero chance of that happening. No way is an Argentinian switching to play for England, presumably he's still got family back home and they'd get dogs abuse.
Imagine if he made a costly error, the abuse he'd get from fans and the press would be career ending. Better to stay well out of it.

Only 5 years on Barnes' case he came here at 12 and Martinez at 17
Out of interest how did he ever get a work permit for Arsenal with no international caps and he presumably wasn’t a top earner or top transfer fee either? And if he was only 17 aren’t under-18 international transfers heavily restricted by FIFA too? Seems like something dodgy there

Ive lost count now on how many times he's kept us in games this season, to think he was sitting on the bench at Arsenal, what a waste that was. He's a great guy and without a doubt a world class keeper.

South Americans all seem to have Spanish or Italian grandmothers, Just like everyone in Brum seems to have Irish ones.
Basically, I've no idea

His save from Danny 'Sicknote' Welbeck was the best of the lot against Brighton. He was turning away celebrating as Emi got down to push it away.
He is a total hero and I can see why he was pissed off at the end. He performed miracles to keep a clean sheet and those further up the pitch did little to get the goals that his efforts for the win deserved.
