Quite a lot of nasty information coming out, how they tortured their captives. I read that 1 guy was waterboarded 183 times?! Every kind of way to break someone down physically and mentally and maximise their pain will have been tried and tested and perfected.

Just imagine that for a second, a million and 1 ways to make you suffer, and what a mind game that is on it's own before anything's even begun, just waiting and wondering what will happen the next time someone comes into the room with a tool box.

They've admitted to some pretty evil stuff, you just know there's some stuff they're not even going to own up to.

And what did they get for all this torture? What life saving information and threats did the torture uncover? Nothing, nada, zilch, by their own admission.

:21:

You can't take the higher ground in the world when you act like tha can you?

Don't trust 'our lot' either, we've been shady and shocking through history no doubt!

I don't think I've ever seen the words .. beheading and lol in the same sentence! :17:

Totally mate, police the world and act worse than the rest of them by the look of it. Like Bill Hicks said, how does it feel to find out we're the real evil empire?

To be fair though I don't think our lot we're involved in the Gitmo torturing, they were too busy protecting establishment paedophiles...

To be fair I think I'd take a beheading over constant months and years of sadistic pain, humiliation, fear and wishing for death.

I am going to play devil's advocate here, so please read it as that! I am firstly NOT agreeing with what they did, however at that time we had, had 9/11. There was stunned anger, hurt and pain beyond feeling. Things were done that shouldn't have been done.

I agree with JF over taking the moral high ground when the first part you need to look at is yourself, however at that time and given the fact I had family caught up in it I know the depths of the despair and pain it took my family too and that's without being the family member, there is the fact that professionals weren't professional and did what many wanted to do.

There is a consensus in The U.S (Daryl Wortley sums it up in his song 'Have you forgotten' https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p6yLQRF-cEU ) that they don't show 9/11 on TV anymore because it generates anger, is what the experts say.

Have a listen to it and then comment. It is easy to say xyz when your not in the situation and NO that doesn't always make it right, what someone does, especially people paid to do a job, however you don't have to condone something to understand what may have been going on for them

On another note it makes me smile in an ironic way, as there are people who say it was all a conspiracy and yet 'scream about how the people were arrested in connection with 9/11 were treated, when 9/11 was apparently a conspiracy.

This post is another point of view: A controversial posting and not 1 I am saying is my final opinion or is my opinion. Just another way of looking at it

I wonder how West Midlands Police found out that some of 'our locals' were planning to kidnap and murder a policeman?

Was it a tip off, or have they devised some fiendish scheme to glean this sort of information?......

Yeah they go down the sty once a week :17:

"we tortured, we lied, that's it" We know, or most of us do, we also know that it is no different in Russia, in China, and certainly no different here, if anyone thinks any differently, well, I suppose the German public fell for the crap they were fed in the late 30's as well.

As for the 9/11 bollocks, when are people going to realise that type A jet fuel (used in American airlines) in an open air burn, burns at 350 C, read that again, 350 degrees C, in absolutely perfect conditions it can reach a temp as high as 825 C, steel melts at approx 1500 C depending on carbon content, yet there were pools of molten steel found UNDER the rubble, there was also molten steel under the rubble of WTC7, which was never even hit by a plane, sustained only minor damage and came down HOURS after the towers had themselves collapsed. so something did melt the steels, but it sure as hell wasn't a crashed jet leaking fuel, and the fact is that the vast majority of fuel would have gone up in the initial explosion, firefighters report that the jet fuel burned off after a few minutes and the fires from the office furniture and carpets were about 293C, the firefighters also report explosions at and below ground level, I suppose they are all "conspiracy theorists" as well.

No steel building other than the WTC's have EVER collapsed due to any fire of any sort.

Physics, you've got to love it, a Scottish bloke once informed me that "ya canna change the laws of physics" well, the laws as we know them at the moment anyway.

Larry Silverstein went from his initial 11 million dollar investment into a 99 year lease on the WTC, then after changing his insurance just a few month before the incident in order to better incorporate the possibility of a Terrorist attack, and claiming it as two separate incidents because it was two buildings, came out of it with a pay off of 11 Billion Dollars.

Larry also worked it into the insurance policy that he alone would have the exclusive rights to rebuild, and all this just a few months after finding out that it was going to cost him millions to remove the asbestos from the WTC's.

That's one very lucky guy with incredible foresight, it's almost as if he knew it was going to happen!

And yes there will be those reading who scream about conspiracy theorists, well just how much evidence do you need before theory becomes fact? As far as I'm concerned, all those walking around with their heads up their own arses or burying them in the sand are the idiots.

al Qaeda my arse!

Ahh the sexy theory...

There is a lot of things I can see the American Government being involved in but thats the one thats just too far...

Juan, I love you mate, but that's all bollocks. Name one other example of an aircraft fuel fire on a similar structure? No? Then you have nothing to compare it to, do you.

If you are prepared to look with an open mind, the science is all there as to what happened.

Amazing the conspiracy nonsense the simple minded will fall for really innit.
Credible links were posted last time the tinfoil came loose for the mechanism for the towers collapse.
cba again.

TBH everyone knows it was the aliens, depicted in the ancient runes, that blasted them with their special gullibility rays

Juan is no more wrong than anyone else guessing what really happend, i will tell you why, i have watched countless documentries on scientists that was baffled by the event that led the WTC 's to fall and melt as they did also Fire crews telling of the explosions at the base of the towers before the base of the towers were even affected by the heat at the top, if scientists have questioned this and made doc's showing something does not add up then i guess we all am guessing as to who is telling the complete truth, all i ever say is never say never and ya never know.

The theories are fairly convincing when you look at melt figures, unexplained explosions at and below ground level etc. watching the pictures of the event it appears to my untrained eye that the buildings collapsed from the top downwards although there are probably explanations as to why that happened as a result of ground level explosions.
It's a hell of a conspiracy though when it is based on the theory that industrial quantities of explosives could have been installed without anyone noticing and that a bunch of Saudi Arabian fanatics could have been persuaded to help out by hijacking and crashing airliners into two buildings at a convenient time.

Not really when you look into it - the science behind the mechanism of collapse is sound. Of course that doesn't stop delusional conspiracists repeating ill-informed nonsense theories.
Each to their own suppose.
