The Championship season 2024-25

Results tonight for Norwich and Wayne Rooney's Plymouth would go down a treat. Carrow Road's become a fortress and a very in form Borja Sainz will be up against Bogle, Sergent's due a goal. Slimane's starting for Norwich as the central attacking midfielder.

Blackburn losing at Coventry would leave us as the last unbeaten team in the Championship. I fancy a draw for that one though, same with WBA v Boro.

Well go third if we can get past Swansea which is no gimme they don’t concede many and we don’t score many 🫤 of course if we had been good boys we could have been 2nd on goal difference to sunnerland 🙄

R8 goal from Bellingham for Sunnerlan last neet.UTB

Gruev joining Ampadu on the treatment table for the next few months. So they'll be forced to go with Rothwell and Tanaka - who are a downgrade.

For all the big talk about Leeds their bench tonight looks weak.

1-1. Sunderland are a young 100 mph team, better more patient teams will take points off them.

Farke using his full bag of tricks, time wasting, tactical fouls, diving.

And then Meslier chucks it away. 😂

I can't wait for Hamer and Burrows to get stuck into Bogle.

Bizarre error. He's trying to blame the turf for the bounce of the ball but it bounced as you'd expect it to, straight. If it bounced between his legs that can happen but for it to go past his right side is inexcusable for any pro keeper.

Meslier laughing and joking with his old gaffer Le Briss minutes after has gone down as well as you'd expect with the Leeds fans.

A 4 goal win and a favour from Heckingbottom would see United go top tomorrow.

There's a title up for grabs this season.

Burnley are crap. Comparatively to their previous standard.

Leeds aren't all that, and now have these injuries.

If we can hang on around the top 2 until January, then sign someone like Brereton, we can win it.

As I said at the time, we will really regret not completing the squad with two more attacking additions. That was the margin. We would have had a title winning squad right now.

It's amazing how quickly the top end of the Championship has shaped up in the last few years.

12 games in, the current top 6 seems quite likely to be the final top 6. And 5 of the 6 have been there since about 5 games in.

Sunderland, Burnley, Leeds, SUFC, West Brom, Middlesbrough.

I don't see anybody below capable of finishing above any of those.

Well it's good to see that Scott Parker's Burnley seem pretty crap right now. We stay in third.

They are utterly impotent. It's some achievement by Parker.

They've scored just 8 goals in the last 11 games. Absolutely pathetic.

I'm sure he still thinks he's a great manager though. To me, he just seems like a details obsessed negative moron needlessly over-complicating things when he has a squad good enough to simply let off the leash.

It looks very good for us. Right now, we can be very confident of finishing above Burnley. That should mean a top 2 spot. I don't see Burnley sacking Parker until at least February. It's ideal. If they had someone slightly worse, they could have sacked him already and be in a position to push on with plenty of time left.
