The Championship season 2024-25

6 points from Plymouth regardless of who the manager is.

The quality gap from us to the lower Championship teams is huge.

Pity we have to wait until Dec 14th to play Plymouth.
I don’t half fancy our press against this lot and Andre Brooks et al against their left back.
I fear they may be much improved by December - whoever their manager.
I doubt they will be any worse than today if they are they will be in a worse state than us last season 🫤

Burnley to piss the league again.

They've assembled too many generic pacey skillful attacking players.

Three games in and I wasn't expecting Burnley to be the crisis club. A tame loss to Sunderland with Cullen and O'Shea dropped with 'knocks' - so two key players imminently being sold.

The gossip is that Alan Pace, who came within a gnat's nut of running us, has put all of Burnley's remaining squad from last season up for sale. That's what happens when you buy on the tick and have to adhere to FFP. They lost Berge, Zaroury, Gudmondsson and Obafemi earlier this week with more departures to come next week.

Parker's not happy with the situation and post game in a sulky interview said he needs another five or seven players brought in.

Now come September Burnley may very well still have the strongest squad in the Championship, but for the time being at least it's nice they're not having everything their own way.

There's a flag in the home end of Edwards' face next to the words 'Sexy Football'. Sexy sacking at this rate. He's a handsome Aidy Boothroyd.

Cifuentes continues to impress. He's done a job on both Wilder and Edwards. QPR are growing after the opening day defeat.

They'll do alright, QPR. Should never have been near relegation last season.

Keeping Field and Dunne was important (we should have signed both). Frey was a good signing and is now showing it. Dembele is surely a good one. And they still have Chair to come back.

Maybe an outsider for the top 6. A bit like us.

1-1 Burnley v Blackburn but the visitors should be 3-1 up at least. Had one perfectly good goal disallowed. Burnley look tripe at the back but now the ref's stepped in and sent a Blackburn player off after HE was fouled.
