The BNP Are Bad, But Not As Bad As ISIS.

Or try this if you can be arsed

http://theantimedia.org/stocks-prices-for-weapons-manufacturers-rise-sharply-after-paris-attacks

I can be arse which is why I presented you with infinitely better information.
I've seen those graphs and the thing which immediately struck me was the axes. They show the first few hours after the attacks and the share price indeed went up. Depressing stuff, granted. But it went up by a VERY SMALL AMOUNT. Prices went up, as I said above, by an average of just 2.4% in those hours. This shift is in the context of a general rise in the total market value, but still stands out as a good win for those shareholders. (although not as good as Amazon or Netflix over the same period).

Have you looked at the actual figures that I gave which show longer term trends? This is just raw data. Factual stuff. It has not been spun (amateurishly) by a website called the antimedia. Defence sector shares are DOWN by quite a lot since a fortnight ago, and the trend over the last six months - which has seen an increase in terror attacks - shows a much more dramatic FALL in their value. There is really nothing to argue about here.

Nope Mao I am not blaming them for any of that, where does that post suggest that ?

I am merely saying we do not have have the capacity to be taking 100s of Thousands of refugees in we are full we cant even cope with the present population, I also did not know Breitbart was BNP but if CP says so ?

I am well aware that we have to do something as the irony is many of the poor souls are fleeing the the same extremists we are about to go to war with and I also know had the West minded there own business and not lied about Weapons of mass destruction as a ruse to go to war in Iraq then these extremists wouldnt exist

I am also aware that the share price for defence contractors has tripled, which says it all really.

Ah, the penny has dropped!

This whole sorry farce is the direct result of GB and the USA interfering in Countries where they have no business.

When Iraq was under the control of Sadam there was no sign of the fundamentalists, not that any right minded person would agree with the way he governed.

The ill thought out campaign against him created the vacuum in which ISIS are now operating.

The campaign for regime change all across Northern Africa and Syria was another masterstroke.

If Britain wants to stick its noses into other Countries affairs then they have an obligation to clear up the mess and if that means accepting refugees, too fooking bad!

Refugees I agree the West has obligations which I posted earlier

Sub Saharan economic migrants no, and there are more of them than poor Syrians unless that is they have specific skills we need, I include EU citizens in that I would far rather have an Australian/Indian/ or whoever skilled worker than an Eastern European Begger

Breitbart was an American and fortunately a dead one, so he isn't and wasn't a member of the BNP. He was however well know as an ultra conservative lunatic who frequently displayed outrageous Islamophobia and general racism and his website was a home for extreme right wing groups.

French dont feck about do they,?

Conrade Corbyn would no doubt still be composing a letter asking them which defence Lawyer they required or is this another right wing conspiracy CP

Quite right DF and check out the UNs Agenda 21 if you can find it Syria is about to get it, not that I agree with J Corbyn I think he is a leftie loon but he is right about Syria, shames us and not in my name

Also check out this

It won't come as a surprise that Breitbart is wrong again in that appalling article and also this one:http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2015/12/02/paris-climate-talks-doomed-china-knows-climate-change-hoax/... that MBB kindly provided for me. Who would have thought that a website with a vested interest in promoting fossil fuels would be skeptical of energy sources that don't pollute?! I keep getting told to follow the money but this fact, which is as clear as day, seems to elude some of our more climate skeptical posters.

The truth is that China has turned a corner and is investing more in green energy than anyone else in the world. They have also invested proportionally much more in green than black energy in recent times.
Facts and figures are here:
http://www.abc.net.au/environment/articles/2015/05/12/4233710.htm
Very encouraging really.

:19: :19: :19: :19:

Yeah right

We will just ignore all those Coal Fired Power Stations that they have built and continue to build as does Germany

The Authors of that report are dependent on the green scam and the grants they get for there living

I'm not ignoring anything.
You give me opinionated nonsense. I rebut with facts and figures.
I doubt that the authors are dependent on the 'scam'. Even if they are, they could make many times more money if they took the opposite view. The money motivation to 'lie' really doesn't add up here and looks completely absurd next to the money in fossil fuels.

Really ?

Pay subsidies to rich landowners to use Coal do they ? The Chinese and Germans building Coal powered Power Stations just a media Story is it ?

The green lobby try to fit facts to theory it's how they make a living.

We will see what comes out of that Paris summit and how wrong JD is shortly

The government are cutting subsidies for renewables, scrapping green targets, withdrawing support for research projects, lowering the feed in tariff, and so on and so on.

Coal IS subsidised and has been subsidised at many times the level of green energy for a hundred years and more.
At the same time they are trying to make it law that we maximise the economic benefits of fossils and giving the dirtiest and most destructive industries ever bigger tax breaks.

We will be the black sheep at the climate summit. It's embarasing. What's worse is that, even for those who are driven by greed, it is economically short sighted because we could a) lead the way and shift a lot of product and b) save ourselves a packet in dealing with the consequences. It would be win win.

Your idea of what the green lobby is it totally arse about face. Scientists from a zillion different fields and with similarly diverse funding are all finding the same results. It's not as though you get a grant from the research councils to investigate climate change and you get another of you publish the 'right' answer. Yes, there are institutes to investigate climate change but they weren't invented as a money making scheme, they came about on the back of observation and scientific testing for many, many years.

Not arguing about Climate change ITTO

I don't buy it's all down to Mans actions and I don't buy into the arrogance that Man can stop it

We would be better spending the money on dealing with the effects rather than impoverishing ourselves and driving heavy industry overseas with huge energy prices

You have repeatedly argued about climate change and posted many articles from deniers. You revelled in the NASA report about the Antarctic ice thickness just last week. You claim that support for it is scientists forcing their data to fit the theory in order to get money.

Those two things that you don't buy are also arguing against it and the science and scientists who publish on it. Given what we know, it is ridiculous to suggest that man cannot affect the climate because we already have. Logically, it doesn't make sense to suggest we couldn't either. We can even make rain these days.

No I have argued about the causes and the responses check back

How can you argue about Climate change I still have Roses growing not to mention the bloody lawn ?

However if yyou are convinced that Man can change the direction of the Gulf Stream , the Jet Stream and influence el Nino affect the activity on nthe sun, which are the real causes of climate a@@@@st others then I bow to your blind faith

Me I shall remain sceptical and I see you again ignore the Coal fired Stations being built in China and Germany, ???
Why would they do that if they were so convinced ? all that will come out of Paris is hot air and a dickhead Prince of Wales talking to Trees

So you believe the science that it is happening but you don't believe the science that it is man made. Do you realise that these are very often the same papers and journal articles. Written by some of the same authors and put under the same level of scrutiny?
How can it possibly be untrue that greenhouse gases cause warming and that man's activities have increased greenhouse gases? You have no answer to any of my questions because they don't fit with your ill-educated preconception. The questions have already been unequivocally answered. Man made climate change is fact and nearly the whole world understands it to be true. You're arguing with physics. You might as well say that things fall upwards.
You don't have to bow to my blind faith because I don't have any. Faith is a belief in the absence of evidence. It is you who depends on blind faith despite the mountain of evidence that proves you wrong.

Yet again, I am ignoring nothing - about power stations or anything else. When have I ever said that countries aren't building coal power stations? I have said that they are moving in the right direction and that China are the world's biggest investors in green energy. The UK is moving in completely the wrong direction and is horribly short sighted.

Wouldn't it be nice if strong policies forcing a move away from oil destroyed ISIS by depriving them of their funding? We could invest the cash saved on brimstone missiles on green tech and sell it to every nation on earth. Then the unicorns would be free to jump over their rainbows again.

I believe its a natural cycle ITTO and I dont think we can do a thing to stop it

I think all the money spent on doing that is wasted and that it would be better spent on preparing to deal with it

It wasnt that long ago they told us that the Maldives would sinkl !! I was there last Jan and I can assure you they werent, the Scientists will continue spouting crap and taking the grant money

But it is not natural so your 'belief' is a crock of shit. Not only have the causes been proven but the alternative suggestions have been disproven. Science isn't about opinions. It's a wonderful tool for determining the truth.

Sea levels are rising. How will this affect low lying nations like the Maldives?

Numerous analyses suggest that the money would be better spent in prevention rather that cure. As it always is. You can't cure the extinctions.
Our food supplies are unstable.
What do you even mean by "preparing to deal with it"?
How do you propose to fund science without a grant system?
Why do you trust scientists on almost everything except this issue?
