But apart from Arsenal who out there are playing great?

Hull.

Arse are the best team and squad imo but we wont be challenging them any time soon. City not playing great but have a scary team and once they get into a rythum...

Chelsea are hamstrung by their shit defence and style.

Outside of that no one but we shouldnt over estimate ourselves at this point. Just nice to see it coming together. Imo we are not as physical as the nuno team but we look faster, getting more organised and seem to have a bit more guile.

Without Europe gives us a huge advantage to challenge top 6 though. Nearly all our biggest rivals for that have Europe to distract them

And Im sure this squad is stronger, deeper and more experienced than our squad who were top 3 at Xmas and finished 7th

Theres plenty of strong teams in EPL now but not many great ones to fear

Think we can go toe to toe with most
We were already visibly fresher than Villa last night and they’ve just played one midweek game. With 9 teams playing in Europe playing extra games, doing more travelling and less training and preparation for each game, it has to be an advantage for our league position.

We are starting to look very good, 22 shots yesterday, we need to get more on target but that'll come.

We are excellent on the right, Munoz is a good fit for us. Aina a revelation at RCB. This adds real depth to the squad.
It's the left that concerns me. Murillo is way off the pace and he was skinned by Jackson. Too easy. Murillo is much better than this. Fortunately Cunha is two footed and I can see Murillo dropping out if he doesn't improve.
Left wing back is an issue. Neco is brilliant but he has to cut back to cross and this isn't ideal.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Williams moved to the right and we look to sign a left wing back in January.

Bloody good problems to have though chaps.

That ship has sailed.
No way Neco gets in ahead of Munoz
Unfortunately - unless he can adapt into the back 3 - I think he will eventually lose his place to a left footer

I saw Aina being criticised yesterday for his passing. His passing was 90% which is about right at CB. Murillos was 92%

Diomande was an incredible 97%. Absolutely unreal.

Had the same thought. I also thought i wonder what he can do when he is full of confidence and in full flow?

Lets hope he doesnt follow stan into arrogance and hubris and maintains disciple and a hunger to improve.

If we get 2 seasons of goals and sell him for another club record fee I can handle the arrogance and hubris

(Whatever hubris fookin means! Lol)

That's kind of my point. Williams will probably be moved to the right at some point. Munoz is 30 and the Glasner wing back role is physically demanding.
I think we will sign a left footed wing back but I'd love to see Netz given a run out.

I can see us selling Netz in January and buying a LWB to challenge Neco more

It was great to see 3 CB's that were comfortable on the ball and more than capable of picking a pass.

Just got to sort out the mickey mouse set pieces defending which is still our Achilles heel.

One of Villas smallest players on the pitch scored with the header

No guesses needed for who he beat to the header

Is it time to sell whilst his stock is high?

For me, seeing Munoz in action for 90 mins just amplifies how much we are hamstrung by Neco in that final third and how crucial it is to have a proper left footed wing back.
