That is indeed good news. There have been rumours of premier league clubs (Tottenham for one) being interested in him.

He is a promising talent, in fact we need to keep a very close eye on not only him, but Rushian Hepburn_Murphy, and arguably the pick of the bunch (in my opinion anyway) Easah Suliman.

Yep, a bit of bright news on the eve of our season opener.

A positive move and an indication of intent. Premier League clubs have been circling this kid so to tie him down speaks volumes of the long term ambitions of the club.

Andre Green has spoken of the boost he got personally from manager Steve Bruce's post game comments after the Wolverhampton Wanderers loss.

Seems Andre is still struggling with a hamstring strain and is unlikely to feature in the local derby.

the young man did well in his break through season, let's hope he can keep up the promise he has shown. It would be nice to see one of our own come to the fore and hold down a regular starting place in the team. A lad who WANTS to be a Villa player cos it means something more than just a pay cheque.

Having penned a new deal earlier this month keeping Andre Green with us for the next three years, the young winger has been chatting about his new deal, gaining a first team...

The least hyped of our 'kids' and I think he'll end up the best we've produced. Very exciting.

He needs more game time.

There are plenty of things he doesnt do well yet but he gets into scoring positions and I have to believe the goals will come for him the more he plays.

Awful miss apart I thought he showed more in 15 mins than Bacuna has in 4 yrs.

Should be automatic starter and although i could see reasoning for starting Bacuna as Bacuna worked hard defensively first half Green has to play

I'm not sure if left wing is his best position , but he's a talent and needs to play every week now

He should start, if he is good enough play him.

Wasn't he a right-winger to start with? But he's competing with Elmo and Adomah on that side.

He needs a run in the side. This in/out business isn't good for him, and he's good enough to play.

For me he looked a bit different today. Showed signs of coming of age and being more confident out there as a first team player. If he can improve his decision making when he gets into the right positions he could be a cracking player for us for many years to come. I think Bruce should just start him every single game regardless and he will come good.

I liked what I saw last season, and he was coming into his own before getting injured towards the end of the season.

Looks fitter and stronger now he's back, and I would be happy to see him have a run in the side, maybe wide left where he played today, or even tucked in behind the striker in the No 10 role - seems to have something about him and and eye for a pass.

Give the lad some confidence.

Shame he missed today as he changed the last 20 minutes for us.

What I like most about him is he looks like a top class athlete, it looks as though he's got a great attitude to go with that so he's an exciting player who can go far for us. He'll outlast Jack G I'm sure

I agree that Green does look like an athlete but, it is about time he started producing an end result, otherwise he'll become just another pretty boy who has to be carried.
