Well what a surprise. Who could have predicted this happening, in the country worst affected by Covid at the moment.

They should have stayed in the UAE like last time out.

The IPL was suspended indefinitely on Tuesday morning after the outbreak of Covid-19 among the franchise teams widened. At least three franchises have now reported positive tests in the past 24 hours and more are expected.

The BCCI decided to ‘indefinitely’ postpone the IPL after an emergency meeting of its governing council. Telegraph Sport understands it could resume at the end of the Test series between India and England in September.
