I've taken the Foo Fighters greatest hits out but I've still got 2 by Queen and 2 by Journey in there.

I hate doing lists for music, and I find it impossible to choose favourite songs or bands as I am always discovering and buying music, but these albums were some of the ones that I came back to time and time again and I still do, so I suppose they qualify.

I didn't stick to the rules although I think 1 per artist is fair, no greatest hits is fair because they are compilations...

But hey, we aren't strict here... I wouldn't be confined to 12! lol

Got those, lovely selection! Don't think Maiden ever topped that album. Rainbow Rising was just glorious when it first came out, fabulous cover, great music... still love it.

Interesting a few of us have chosen Sabbath with Dio in, such a shame they only did the two in a row, thought they were just warming up. I do love the Ozzy Sabbath as well.

I had the cover of Come an' Get It on my rucksack when at school. A very talented friend painted it, it was spot on. So wish I'd kept that. Child of Babylon... ace! I remember buying the album, putting it on in the lounge, my parents were out in the garden and I tapped on the window and stuck my thumbs up I was so pleased! I was 12 I think. Amazing how such little memories stick with you when you play music they come back so quickly!

The Bluetones, underrated that, got a fabulous groove throughout I think. Must play that tomorrow. Working through a lot of these listed in this thread and thoroughly enjoying them.

Agree JF, Bluetones were one of the most underrated bands of the 90s, likewise The Frank & Walters.
I would recommend getting a copy of KLF, but as they deleted their entire back catalogue they're like gold dust!
 
I must admit I wish this thread was called "The records that never leave you!" If it was I reckon we'd be on page 10 by now.
 
KLF was just one of those things, they didn't grab me!
