Thanks your support in remembrance of all the war dead, and injured by laying down and complying with FIFA instructions not to display a POPPY ...much appreciated
Tell me why a poppy is considered political cos I can't make it out!
If some people choose not to because they believe it also embraces 'illegal wars' such as Iraq then that it their call.
I personally support the poppy appeal simply because
a) The funds hopefully help current soldiers who suffer from appalling injuries, physical and psycological because our politicians send them into conflict, legal and illegal and then forget them in terms of financial support and consideration, or indeed the families of the fallen soldiers, again because the govt is an ass when it comes to their consideration.
b) ) Specifically for WWI and WWII remembrance - legal wars to protect our way of life against despots, dictators and fascists and in which my grandfathers and father fought and hence I am around to commment.
What is political about that?
