Extreme Makeover home edition did a makeover where the parents had lost their daughter to this: The daughter had been texting and driving and crashed killing herself. Fortunately no one else was involved.

Part of the makeover the immense publicity they created through The U.S for the pledging not to text and drive scheme her parents had started along with going around schools giving talks to the youngsters and taking her smashed up car with them.

A loophole that they will hopefully correct Villan?!

Hopefully. A couple of people have been done fore driving without due care and attention but without an actual accident it's hard to prove that one so the police rarely bother with it.
