Terry Says His Goodbyes & Snodgrass Isn't Expecting A Return

I do actually expect Snodgrass to return. It is a different situation to Grealish and Terry - they will be offered riches we cannot afford.

But, with Snoddy, will he attract any more than we are offering him ?. Look at it locically.

He isn't wanted at West Ham - Moyes wanted him, but Moyes isn't there anymore. Sullivan and Snodgrass have made it plain what they think of each other, so he either goes back and does a "Micah Richards" or leaves - and I don't think he is a Micah type

Move - who to ? - the thing with Snoddy, he has gone through a few years of being really unhappy. Both at Scotland level and West Ham. It is totally clear he is happy here, and him and Bruce are close. There will be some lower Premier teams in for him, but he knows that the grass isn't always greener. It isnt like Terry who can probably get 150k a week somewhere, Snoddy at most will demand 30k - and we could probably stretch to 20k - is an extra 4 grand (after tax) worth his happiness.

And the same if someone from the Championship comes in. Would he rather play in front of 30-40k (depending on results) for 20k a week where he is happy and loved, or in front of 20k for an extra few grand, and may not be as happy or wanted (or if he went to a rival - probably disliked)

I think it may take a month or so for his agent to weight it all up, but I can see Snod being in our line up in August

Snodgrass is on £60k a week at West Ham, no chance of him coming back here.

He has premier experience and has had a good season with us so proves he still has it. It was only a couple of years ago he was Hull’s best player in the premier league and West Ham offered £15m for him

He is a low end premier league player and that’s where he will end up, somewhere like Burnley would fit him perfectly with the added benefit of European football for a few months

Yeah, you maybe right. Just think wherever he goes, he won't command anywhere near 60k. According to the net, Robbie Brady is Burnleys best paid player at 35k a week, wherever he goes, I cannot imagine him being the best paid player - the others would go nuts, so I reckon he either does a Richards and earn 60k for doing nowt, or accepts 30k tops to play

yep lower prem or useful for one of the monied relegated sides from last year possibly.
Altho maybe him and JT love it so much here they'll both take championship wages just to be able to stay ............... nah

Snoddy's transfer fee is the bigger problem as unless we gave him 4 odd years we can't even appropriately amortise.

For the love of god I hope nobody here starts listening to the media too much.

We're not in great shape but how would some gobshite from Sky Sports or BBC know where the club is at or our intentions.

Personally I fully believe the club has plans in place and in that I trust. Tony Xia is a full bloodied Chinese business man and in that he will have minimised risk.
