Rumour from a reasonably sensible Notts fan on 1FF that Terry might be heading back to us. Thoughts? I'd personally welcome him back here as I think he would have been a better option than Whitehouse this season and might have just given us a little bit of something. Remember the Macc goals?

Yeah, I reckon League 2 is his upper limit and we will be looking at players that can make the step up if we go up next year. Would be a decent squad player though and has done well at Notts until getting injured I think.
 
imo we need to sign more pace in the forward players, rather than less - to add the counter attack to our game.
 
He would add calmness to the 100 mph play of the wingers we have.

I thought wages would be a stumbling block.

We did miss him this year

It would be a Big Yes from me !!
 
Definitely a yes. Yes Hawkridge lacked a bit of pace, but none of the wingers we had this season (and we tried quite a few) seemed capable of putting in the kind of delivery that Terry could.

Man for the big occasion too... he was terrific in the Cup matches last year, and of course would never be forgotten in these parts for his goals against Macclesfield.

Not sure he'd be a first name on the teamsheet, but a brilliant squad option to have (and certainly an upgrade on Williams and Stewart).
 
I reckon in our midfield three he would have been a decent option. More composure than Whitehouse, that's for sure. Andhe does the defensive work well too. We shall see.
 
Hawkridge was an undervalued member of the squad when an imp and prior to leaving delivered the highest number of assists during the season, creating decent crosses for Rhead etc......and goals.
One of the poorest areas of our game this season has been the quality of the balls into the box......plenty of 40 yard diagonals into fresh air.TH is a top quality crosser of the ball.
The current mantle of most assists lies with Eardley from right back.
In conclusion if available i would consider re-signing him,he is better than some we already have on the books.

It's a bit like going back to your ex girlfriend. Initially it's quite exciting....but shortly you realise the reason that it wasn't meant to be.
 
I like Hawkridge. Always gave his all and would be a decent left sided option. I think Sam missed his left sided covering this year. I'd welcome him back
