If he does go it will be a second season on the trot where a decent squad and parachute payments have been wasted by a manger to then leave. We may need a manager who has the qualities a tough championship season requires :
* Tough defence.
* 2 strikers capable of scoring 25 goals between them.
* Players all wanting to be at the club.
* Players who are worth a decent fee on high wages sold and not
loaned out.
* Tactics suitable to playing in the league.
* Pace in team to break quickly.
* Wise use of substitutions to play 90 + minutes a game at full pace.

Sadly DF achieved none of these.
 
I was always prepared to give him until Christmas , but that may be too late . Maybe 10 games , but if he is failing we can’t change the squad .
