Team vs Rotherham

A couple of things.

Bears - sorry for late support on your op, glad it all went well and that you're on your way to recovery.

Main reason for not being on here over the last few days is that I had a phone call from my brother 4pm Thursday (02:00 Friday Oz time), my mum had been found in a serious condition in her home and was on the way to te hospital with a police escort. I rang the hospital and they asked them if I needed to come over and they said yes , she was bad. Literally 2 hours later I had booked my flights, hired a car and 2 hours after that flew out to UK. Arrived at the hospital, Sat morning, was walking from the car park and met my brother who was on the phone and was just then told that she had died. Got to her minutes later. Nearly made it, but she had had a massive stroke and never regained consciousness and seems to have chosen to pass and avoid us having the trauma of her final moments. And so an era ends.
RIP Mum, I love you.

Steve. That is heartbreaking. As I said in my private messages
it is hardest for ones left behind in these circumstances but a small crumb of comfort is not watching a loved one suffer badly over a long period of time.

So sad to hear that Steve. No words can express how sorry I am to hear that news. Vital family is here.

Still thinking of you Steve after hearing your sad news on Saturday. So glad I had the opportunity to speak to you at this sad time. Having lost my father in law very recently, it takes some time to recover from the shock of sudden bereavement. Thinking of you over the coming days and weeks at this very sad time.

Back on here now after all the statutory work required after a death and clearing out of her house. Not pleasant.

Very heartfelt thanks to you all, my Vital family. Yes DG and Sminks, it was good to talk to you, and thanks to Rex and Mrs Rex for their supportive phone calls.

Funeral next week then back to Oz. Wasn't too much interested in Xmas before all this, now totally disinterested.

Steve. Thinking of you and your family. A funeral at any time is not a happy experience, but a December funeral is never welcome. Sadly, I have had my fill of family funerals this year. Hope all goes as well as it can on such occasions.
