Team vs Millwall

Oh if we had had PC at the start of pre-season
Steve

Quick Maths.
PC in charge for 26 league games and record is W15. D 4. L7. GD + 18
If we spread that over 41 games ( season so far ) we would have
77 points and GD of + 28.

That would out us 5 ahead of Millwall in second on same amount of games.
and 5 behind Cov with one game more played.

This counts the first game 4 1 defeat at Birmingham when he was not really in charge and I am still looking at conceding late goals at home to Oxford and away at preston. We could have been top.

Absolutely. However, I would not want us to be contending in the playoffs this season. We need to be preparing for next season asap. The uncertainty introduced would interfere with building the best possible team. We know that outside the playoffs, we are preparing to win the Championship. In the playoffs, we are not certain whether we need to prepare for survival in the premier league.

Yep I agree - I wouldnt want us in the Prem next season - we need to build and finally get rid of the now not so bad deadwood and bring in higher quality players and depth. That bench yesterday was the best bench we have had - credit to PC his training and managerial outlook for me is second to none - what a massive change from 23 and not dead bottom only because of SWs points deductions to 9th and within 6 of 6th - I'm in awe of the guy because it is an example of family and not conflict being positive.

The ref had a good game - I liked the way he stamped out the rough play early but he did miss some howlers - especially KV through and he was pushed in the back and fell - VAR would have given a penalty. Mind you that may have been snuffed out by Staceys handling of the oppo player in our box

Ippos GD is really good but I think we'll be a huge thorn in their side this time around under PC. He chnaged the team around in a weird way yesterday. Kenny at RW slitting up the regular McLean Pele midfield. Worked though Kenny was bit more upfiled and he didnt adjust his long passes to the shorter available length of pitch and was too heavy footed

Finally we have dismissed and put to rest Norwich and Aus Players debacle, thank you Toure you are a revelation and healing.

We've also shed the tag of easy beats, we are a force to be reckoned with in the run in now, the form team and we dont fear any team. I didnt look forward to the Portman Road match in Oct as I expected to lose. Not next Saturday this time, time for Ippo to be given a PC lesson.
