Team v Shrews

Poor game all round. We were the poorer of two poor sides in the first half and the Shrews deserved their lead, although were the ref doing his job, they'd have got nowhere near the corner they scored from, although the defending was awful. Shrews had the better chances in the first half, but despite the game being scrappy, we are easily the better side this half, but few chances, bar the sitter which Samuels inadvertently hit at Oliver on the line - freak bad luck, preventing a deserved equaliser. Drysdale booked for a late tackle, but no worse than Ogilvie being taken out in the first half, which not only didn't even result in a foul, but indirectly a goal for Shrewsbury.

Can only assume match fitness with Dom Samual let’s hope Akinde can deliver something but with what I have seen this afternoon ........ maybe another Guinness is in order and for the remainder of Saturday

Perhaps the single camera coverage didn`t do the play enough justice - but we were really poor IMO. Desperately missing the midfield presence of Dempsey and Robertson.

Shrews young goalie didn`t make one save - and we didn`t seem to get to grip with the conditions. Apart from a couple of decent passes from Eccles our link-up was non-existent.

Lucky to get a point, but we move on and, hopefully, forward..

Get in there Graham!!
Never unhappy with a draw away from home, and a correct prediction too.

Not the best performance but tough conditions and a poor referee will have made things difficult.
There just seemed to be a missing link somewhere in there where things just weren't happening. Really feel like that game was there for the taking and if Oliver hadn't been unlucky and blocked Samuel's shot we could have gone on to win the game.
