Team v hull

Certainly much better than ippo promoted and we relegated in the same season, BK should recognise what he nearly cost us.

Now we wait to see what they do this summer - One thing BK has to do - DO NOT tell PC BK knows better - just do as PC says andcwants. BK has to clearly recognise that we beed to keep hold of PC long term, he's committed himself so let him have his way and do his job - he's shown he is far more talented immediately than BKs reliance on the law if averages to get one right of many.

Time to shed more, even those under contract that just aint up there. Awaiting with trepid curiousity

Interesting and probably fairly obvious I guess no training camps due to World Cup but 10 days together next week before the internationals leave. Guess its the last chance they have for the whole squad though I would have thought the international managers would want them for as long as they could?

Agreed Steve.
It does reinforce my point that PC needs to select players he wants to sign and release, decide on back up staff including medical ( as this has been a disaster this season ), select training camps, tactics and motivate the players. He is also the voice of the club ( and a great job he has done in that area ).
What does that leave for the useless Webber and Knapper to do ?
They must be the most expensive tea makers in the world.

CC heaping praise on Ben Knapper. I know almost nothing about that side and have refrained from passing judgment. Several on this forum have expressed opinions; are there any changed minds?
I think I have a bit of a different opinion than most people here.

Whilst he has been far from perfect, I think he seems to be doing an ok job and appears to be learning from his mistakes.

I would say his signings made for on the pitch have been good more often than not with a lot of players looking to be real bargains.

I think a lot of the fees he has negotiated for players going out have been very good and the prices we've payed for players coming in has been as equally good.

Off the pitch I think he could have done a lot better.
I think he was too quick to get rid of Thorup and should've backed him better against the players that were kicking up a fuss. Also the whole Wilshire situation was just odd.
Whilst I didn't rate Manning when we brought him in, I can see why he did. I do think he should've gone earlier than he did but it's hard for me to not see why he stuck with him when I said he should've given the other manager time.
If i remember correctly, PC said his honesty about previous mistakes was a big factor in him choosing to come to us and I think he deserves credit for that.

He doesn't look comfortable public speaking but I do think he needs to communicate a lot better with the fans. They don't have to be 30+ minute filmed segments or anything but just updates here and there. Also a lot better communications with how to grow the club and stadium as that was a disaster.
