TalkSport just about to have a Villa session

Nothing exciting. Jime White spoke to SB this morning. Looking forward to his meeting with the new owners.

Should stick with him. Only lost out on the playoff final due to a couple of incidents going against us. TH doesn't have the experience and should this be his first managerial appointment?

Using Remi Garde as an example of it going wrong. If not SB then somebody with experience.

No revelations!

It's unfair (IMHO) to use Garde as an example as he was stuffed by the clubs senior management who wouldn't let him buy in January.

The general consensus is to stick with Bruce with the stage we are at so close to the season , transfers etc.

I agree.

Me too.

Gloss would be totally wiped off the takeover for me if they go and do something stupid like appoint Henry.

Simon Jordan again on Breakfast show. Says should stay with Bruce (I know he's a mate) at this time, also said that the FFP constraints can be sorted with a couple of sales (Grealish for £35m) and that with the billions available then purchases can be made. If they appoint Henry, which he thinks is foolhardy then money is no object (Cue MF)

Agrees with you 're Remi. The thoughts scares me of TH. Stick with what we know. Give Bruce this season to get us up. If he does then look to change is fair enough

Pmsl. Jordan and Danny Kelly on Talksport saying that all this speculation is awful for Steve Bruce but continue to bang on about it.

The thing is gents, billionaires have a very different view of risk compared to PAYE employees like most of us.

They are prepared to gamble - Xia being a prime example that nearly cost us dear.

Even the eye watering amounts of the PL will not phase these guys as it is loose change to them. They have a low level investment and will be expecting a high yield. That yield can only be achieved in the PL, so expect an announcement soon. Can't see them sticking with SB personally - the name of the game is money after all, and Thierry Henry will have much more potential than Steve Bruce.

Will it work? Who knows, but they will discard him quickly if he fails. I think the days of Wenger and Fergie have been consigned to history - no more dynasties. Hope I'm wrong, but it is what I am seeing, quick returns are required.

If this had happened 6 weeks ago I'd be far more positive towards it. Henry would have had time to bed in, get to know the players a bit and maybe bring in 1 or 2 himself. As it is its far to close to the 1st game.

But we were going to the wall, selling our crown jewels - 6 weeks ago. These guys are ruthless.
