Syria Bombing?

Don't see how you can educate or negotiate with a death cult that don't want anything from us just our demise it's too late for the ones radicalised the only way is to try to stop radicalisation by defeating the organisation and eradicating them completely and unfortunately bombing a few mud huts aint gonna achieve that.

This appeared on my FB, I found a amusing. Even more so when you know it was posted by our 30 year old youth minister at our Church

Call me a cynic but I think the bombing campaign will be aimed at Assads regime as much as it will be aimed at Isis. I'm completely against British involvement in Syria.

:1:

That's exactly what this is, conveniently packaged up behind a facade of supposed solidarity with the Americans and the French, using scaremongering tactics to win support in parliament and the UK at large.

And Russia favouring Assad... all going to end well this, I can feel it in my water...

That reminds me, I must get some cranberry juice.

I agree with you gator. You can't educate or negotiate with daesh, they just want to shoot you in the back of your head or behead you if you're not islamic or willing to convert to islam. They've got one agenda and I think we all know what it is.

But it's no use banning islam. What about the peace loving muslims? How would they feel?

Going in at source is the only way, but how and by which means is another thing.

As a footnote, it just goes to show how fast this has escalated over the last 12 months or so. I've been banging the drum for ages about what was going to happen and now it's happening. A lot of people have took their heads out of the sand since then.....

:14:

And what I have indicated will happen will be shown to be true in the future. Air Strikes will not stop terrorist attacks, indeed they may intensify.

Just because others are as poorly educated as you, Pride, should not lead you to think it is the best solution.

On a side note, Cameron calling me a terrorist sympathiser overnight. The ****.

Been a fascinating evening watching BBC Parliament. The debate has been interesting and empassioned.

Thought Cameron was very naughty saying anyone voting against the bombing is a terrorist sympathiser and he should have apologised having been repeatedly asked. He really is his own worst enemy, sometimes you go too far when debating, nothing wrong with admitting that and saying sorry.

Vote result due shortly.

Shadow Foreign Secretary Benn got a massive round of applause from people of both sides of the house when he said he was voting in favour. Corbyn didn't look impressed.

397 yes... 223 no's.

So military action in Syria sanctioned. May their God's (and for those of us without a God our thoughts and hope) be with them, apart from anyone in the death cult.

Cameron was stupid for what he said, but the constant nonsense by Labour and SNP MPs wasting time asking for apologies instead of getting on with the debate was the terrible case of playing politics. Cameron did say that whatever people voted they were doing it with honour but they still kept on with their petty points scoring.

Be interesting to see what happens to those Labour MPs who voted with the government. Labours new zealots Momentum will be looking to have them deselected.

We were at war anyway. All that has happened is the tiny number of jets we have in action can fly a little bit more north. This is a massive non event.

not 'at war' though are we - just a bit of vanity bombing for photo opps in front of a crumbling tornado.

70K good muslims rising up to support dave and hilary benn now to fight the so-called bad muslims - so that's nice

fooking eejits the lot of them

Agreed this is more about diplomacy and media headlines than actually trying to destroy daesh. Incidentally people seem to be under the impression there are hundreds of jets bombing Syria, anybody have any idea how many Russian jets are in action?

Not enough innit - hopefully they'll send more to help poor old Bashir's fight against the so-called scoundrels
wiki reckons 60 odds give or take Turkish Islamic extremists defending their ISIL oil

Hope Frau Merkel has made a bit more room for the migrants

No doubt it is a clusterfuck of a situation. Not sure if there is a real will to sort this shit out, and that means after Daesh what? You need someone to fill the void.

Well, it didn't take long after the vote before 4 Tornedos were dispatched from Cyprus to do their job.
