Syria Bombing?

Green Tea - 29/11/2015 10:54

You can keep thinking Islam is peaceful - yet NOWHERE in history have we seen this(and please lets NOT start discussing other religions and stay on topic).

:19: :19: :19: :19: :19: :19: :19: :19: :19:

How can we stay on topic, and yet not show this statement up for the complete tripe it is? Just take a look at Central and South America for how other religions deal with civilisations it encounters.

Your little bubble must be a great place to live.

Oh i have missed you guys and your thing Heath and GT dude :4: i feel home proper now :17:

Yeah, sorry, this is meant to be what people think of the upcoming House of Commons vote re bombing.

I don't see that 15 years of bombing has done much and this talk that the cowardly death cult do all their planning where we will bomb makes no sense when the Paris plans were made in Belgium

Well said Fear dude,,,,,now i was always thinking kicking some azz and wiping ISIS out over there Syria etc was the answer but they don't all live in big cities planning stuff over there its here in the west where we face grave danger,,,,,anyway all these tanks etc ISIS keep being shown to have driving about surely by now we Brits ay needed to bomb them cos they should be wiped out by Russians and French alone?

Something stinks with all this imo i ay sure but maybe there is training camps we need to obliterate but they could be proped up anywhere its just an open deset meeting training place? I don't get this so called strategy cos imo it ay no strategy we have to stop this but to join up with our mates to join in dropping bombs?

They want to get Assad out - that's been the aim from the very beginning

Just using the threat from ISIS as an excuse to go in and eventually get boots on the ground

I don't really know what the best course of action is to be honest.

All I know is that

a) We can't just turn a blind eye to ISIS and allow them to grow and plot further atrocities.

b) I don't trust politicians as far as i can throw them, so always wary of a hidden agenda.

Feels like we are stuck between a rock and a hard place, but what I am dead against is just sitting back and doing nothing.

a) agreed
b) agreed

Thing is villawill, they wanted to bomb ASAD last year, now they want to bomb others and most are wanting to help ASAD remove ISIS

Back to b) from deano really

And of course all the sane people of the world want to remove this death cult, hence there should be a joint force to go and do that.

Close the thread. I think that's it, in a nutshell.

The weapons to be used... one wonders who will make the profit, none of the MP's obviously :91:

Sorry Green Tea if we had that attitude in 1939 we would all be using the Nazi salute right now. In actual fact we did fight fire with fire. But bombing on its own is a poor solution the problem is we are in a Russian sphere of influence and the Yanks are trying to get Assaud out because he is a Russian ally which complicates the whole arena if ever there was a time for a U.N. force to go in and clear ISIS out it is now. You can educate all you like but if they are not listening it falls on deaf ears. I am still amazed at how the west allows other Arab countries surrounding Syria to get away with doing little or nothing. Never mind the Arab league being asked to provide boots on the ground to fight ISIS this lot wont even take a share of the refugees in some cases. I will excuse Lebanon & Jordan from that as I know they have taken some.

They all have there own agenda's thats the trouble, it looks to me some countries don't seem to want ISIS eradicated and am focusing more on Assad than the real threat, i mean what threat was Assad to us he lived here and had respect for this country he has even said this ok he is a bad leader and done horiific crimes so we am told but so has Mugabe of Zimbabwe so why ay we gone after him if we am so just and the worlds police? Its all bollox imo more like fingers in what pie you can get em in!

I would be interested to hear how a UN force would clear out ISIS? One of 2 things would happen if they did go in.

1) They would have to stay in for a decades
2) They would pull out and another vacuum would take their place, into which more radicals would step.

Until we find a solution o the political turmoil, there is no point whatsoever on military action on a large scale.

Call me a cynic but I think the bombing campaign will be aimed at Assads regime as much as it will be aimed at Isis. I'm completely against British involvement in Syria.

I amm for wiping out ISIS but i ay heard or seen any strategic plans how us adding bombing in Syria is going to make a jot of difference tbh, the only way as i have said from the Tunisia terrorsit attacks is to go in with a global troop force, even an RAF officer said on the news bombing needs troops to go in after and sweep up Cmaeron is making out we am going to use the 70,000 rebel fighters in Syria to do this,,,,lol no chance they am all seperate and have there own agenda's ffs,

I did love what one MP said ''have we got a lawrence of arabia type person over Syria that i don't know about'' meaning to combine all the rebels Cameron reckons lol

I get the impression that ISIS members walk around with a arrow hovering above them. Most seem to think they are easily identifiable from the general population.

They're all cowards, and will disappear the minute a foreign force gets within 10 miles of them, only to re-emerge and terrorise the weak again when they feel safe.

Special ops is the best way to take these bastards out, not air strikes or massed troops.

I'm all for wiping out daesh too but can't see that this has been thought through properly. Smacks of Iraq all over again, where we made the situation worse and our exit strategy was basically pull out and leave them to the mercy of daesh. We are doing this to support the yanks and for no other reason. This is what daesh wants and a war will encourage more to join their ranks.
The decision will decide our fate.

Seems to be pretty much what they want doesn't it?

Amazingly stupid world we live in.

It doesn't fall on deaf ears at all. If mankind was like that we would still all be racists and Black people would still be slaves.

People make mistakes(you, me, your parents & grandparents are all guilty of this & USA and Europe have also had their fair share of making plenty of mistakes). The only way anybody changes, is through learning, NOT force. Homophobia, Racial hatred etc, are not overcome by killing people - they are overcome by education, patience, learning.

If the Western World can change over a couple of generations from being homophobic racists, to living as equals in peace. Then why can't the members of ISIS change too?

A bombing campaign from the UK will be just another step closer to World War 3, we are killing people that have been brainwashed by a book. Its not their fault - its the education, the book, the learning. Take out the source, not the victims of the source. Ban Islam - then tell the World why you are banning it, open the eyes of people in the World & stop living with ignorance, buried heads in the sand.

Turkey have already shot down Russian aircraft, the whole episode looks like a cauldron waiting to explode.
