Another home match, another game against a team above us in the table and a good chance to get another three points on the board.

It’s the American rapper Snoop Dogg’s first appearance in Swansea and there will be a full house to greet him.

Preston lost 1-0 at rejuvenated Blackburn last Friday, where ex-Swans goalkeeper Dai Cornell had an excellent game for them. They will be trying to get back on track against us, their last away win was 0-2 at Bristol City on 4 January. Their head-coach since Aug 2024 is Paul Heckinbottom, who guided Sheff Utd to promotion to the Premier League in 22-23 season.

The form guide shows they have just one win in their last six games, a 1-0 home win over lowly Portsmouth, PL6 W1 D2 L3 F4 A11.
A poor run where they have dropped out of the play-offs to 10th position and are just three points above us.

The reverse fixture was a 2-1 defeat under Sheehan last November where we slumped to 17th place in the table, so we will be hoping to put things right on Tuesday night.

Need a better performance on Tuesday night than yesterday's. A very winnable game as Preston are a very average side (they looked it at their place when we played them) and are in poor form but sometimes these are games we struggle in.

Should be a very packed stadium for this one with Snoop in attendance, hopefully a 5-star performance for him

Swansea 1 (Cullen 95’) - Preston 1 (Jebbison 26’)

An awful first-half by Swansea, way off the pace, conceded one, could have been more.

Second-half, the three subs Key, Yalcouye and Nunes turned the game on its head and a complete transformation where we should have won the game, so many missed chances.
Cabango and Burgess good chances headed wide and over. Cabango hits the post from a set piece on 64’, two penalty shouts ignored and what a poor referee in charge as Preston got away with so many fouls without redress.

It was the dying seconds of added time, sub Nunes crosses from the left for sub Cullen to head home and save the day. Swans fans in raptures at the end but it could have been so much more.
