A friend of mine has just quit reffing after many years and he said a) definately outside and b) definately should have been retaken. The referee will get slaughtered for that in his assessment. It wasn't an issue of interpretation or not seeing something; it was failure to apply the rules

Yes, it could be claimed he missed the first as it was borderline ( I don't think it was) but it should be absolutely clear to any referee that the penalty should have been taken again. I would have thought stopping in order to send the keeper the wrong way could have been a bookable offense?

Thanks CP, fans worldwide always seem to be the same, we were robbed, lousy ref, never a pen, and it goes on and on. But it always raises a smile when I read our match report on vital, it's no different.

Interesting how highly they scored grabz when he barely had a kick. If only one or two of our own acknowledged his work off the ball!
