W Swans 2- Derby 1
D Swans 1- Barnsley 1
D Swans 1- Middlesboro 1
D Swans 3 - Bournemouth 3

QPR last 6 away
W Luton 1 - QPR 2
L Forest 3 - QPR 1
L Sheff Utd 1 - QPR 0
L Preston 2 - QPR 1
D Huddersfield 2 - QPR 2
L Stoke 1 - QPR 0

Mark Warburton’s QPR were promotion contenders until their recent bad run. It’s surprising then that he is leaving at the end of the season as his contract is not being renewed. His assistant John Eustace, who last summer turned down the Swans head-coach job at the last minute due to undisclosed personal reasons, goes with him. Eustace is favourite for the Watford job that Roy Hodgson is vacating at the end of the season.
In the reverse fixture last January we played out a 0-0 draw. At the time QPR were 4th in the table, we were 17th. QPR had won their previous 4 matches. Downes was sent off in the 92nd minute after tangling with Charlie Austin’s at a throw in. Austin, also booked, exaggerated the entanglement to get Downes sent off for a second yellow card after winding him up all match. Back three that day - Cabango, Naughton, Manning, with Christie and Latibeaudiere wing-backs.
Will Martin stick with the same defence that’s shipped in 15 goals in the last 6 matches?

Swans unchanged from the Forest hammering.
Swans: Andy Fisher, Joel Latibeaudiere, Kyle Naughton, Ryan Manning, Cyrus Christie, Flynn Downes, Matt Grimes (c), Hannes Wolf, Joel Piroe, Cameron Congreve, Michael Obafemi.
Subs: Ben Hamer, Jay Fulton, Korey Smith, Olivier Ntcham, Jamie Paterson, Azeem Abdulai, Joel Cotterill.

QPR: Seny Dieng, Yoann Barbet (c), Luke Amos, Lyndon Dykes, Ilias Chair, Dominic Ball, George Thomas, Sam McCallum, Dion Sanderson, Sam Field, Albert Adomah.
Subs: Joe Walsh, Murphy Mahoney, Osman Kakay, Andre Dozzell, Andre Gray.

Where to start.
We never looked like winning this one. QPR were up for it and we were not, simple. We were second best throughout and were clueless how to break down the Hoops solid defending.
They looked like the home side first half and we looked like a relegation team. Forest must have destroyed any confidence we had as we laboured with our passing game. We did actually get the ball in the net against the run of play, Wolf side footing in from the goalkeepers parry of a Christie shot but the linesman flagged it offside, close call.
Both sides wasted chances second half but we were caught on the counter attack again on the right flank for the late goal. Latibeaudiere had gone off injured and midfielder Downes was covering, but Dozzell raced through and crossed for sub Gray to drive home into an empty net, Warburton’s substitutions working a treat. Ours made no difference.
A sad end to the season and a big clear out needed.

When centre-back Naughton was the only player who looked like breaking down the Hoops defending you know your in trouble.
He made several penetrating runs from defence into their half but with the rest of the Swans players half asleep his attempts came to nothing.
MotM was their number 10 Ilias Chair, he was everywhere, now that’s the type of player we need.
