Swans v QPR

Norwich were promoted yesterday, with Swans and Brentford only drawing, even though they suffered their first defeat in 14 games after going down 1-3 at home to Bournemouth. They scored in the 5th minute but conceded 3 goals in the second half after their left back Giannoulis was controversially sent off in the 17th minute.
Bournemouth are steaming up the table and it was their sixth straight win since beating the Swans 3-0. They are looking favourites for promotion through the play-offs if they can’t catch Watford and are only two points behind us now with a game in hand.

The door was open yesterday for the Swans to narrow the gap with second place Watford, who lost 1-0 at Luton.
We blew the chance, and were very fortunate to scrape a draw after going two goals down at home to bottom club Wycombe, who came into the match as the lowest scorers in the league with 30 goals and the worst defence shipping 64 goals.
Four games to go, two home and two away, and next up are QPR at the Liberty on Tuesday.
QPR won away 1-2 at Middlesboro yesterday with ten men after their goalkeeper was sent off.

We will be without leading scorer Andre Ayew after he picked up a hamstring injury against Wycombe.
The only bright spot for us is the return from injury of the only recognised striker in the squad, Liam Cullen, who came on as sub yesterday and scored the equaliser.

Our poor home form has seen us drop 11 points from a possible 18 in the last 6 games.

Norwich still hungover after the promotion party, second successive home defeat, this time 0-1 and unfairly almost gifting Watford the other auto spot.
23 shots on goal and 13 corners for Watford
The other result Brentford 1 Cardiff 1

63’ Another mediocre team that look like world beaters against us, we are being outplayed, outfought, and outthought

0-1
89’ Dykes unmarked, it’s been coming all match, goodbye Swansea.
We are absolutely clueless.
Totally outplayed again, we don’t deserve to be in the play-offs.
I cannot see us beating our way out of a paper bag at the moment.

Passes attempted: 383 - 550

Steve Cooper said in his after match comments that Andre Ayew has a Grade 1 hamstring injury. Of the three games left he will miss Reading but could be back for Derby.
Grade 1 Hamstring Injury: The lightest injury, usually only a muscle pull or strain. Recovery typically takes from a few days to a few weeks.
