Swans home form last 6 matches: WWWWWW W6 D0 L0 F16 A5

Last time out:
Ipswich 0 - Swans 1
Hull 0 - Sheff Utd 3

Remaining games and teams with a chance of the final play off place, Derby presently occupying that 6th spot:

Derby - Bristol City (A), Swansea City (A), West Brom (H) Points- 67

Middlesboro - Reading (H), Rotherham (A) Points- 67

Bristol City - Derby (H), Millwall (A), Hull (A) Points- 66.

Sheff Wed- Preston (A), Queens Park Rangers (H) Points- 63

Swans- Hull City (H), Derby (H), Blackburn (A) Points- 62

You'd fancy Boro to get decent points to get into top 6 and Derby have improved again so it looks like a 3-way fight for 6th, Derby vs Bristol City is a big one.

The reverse fixture just before Xmas last year, where we took an early lead and Mulder saved a penalty on 38’ after bringing down Fraizer Campbell in the box.

Sat 22 Dec 2018

Hull 3 - Bowen 70', 80', Elphick 76'

Swans 2 - Bony 3', Celina 88'

Potter: “We didn't defend well enough. If you concede three goals you are in trouble in any game. While it's 1-0 the game is still alive and the crowd can get involved. The first 35 minutes of the first half we controlled things and got into some good areas and created some good opportunities."

Another game we threw away far too easily. Perfect start and conceded from a corner of I remember right. Got hit on the counter by their 2 talented wide men and we showed our naivety that day. We matured since then, on our A game we should be too much for them but even against Rotherham we let them create too many easy chances.

Our defending is a worry, let’s try and score more than the opposition.
The weather is not too good at the moment, hopefully the high winds will stop Hull lofting a barrage of high balls into our box.
(Storm Hannah has hit the UK with winds of over 80mph, highest gust of 82mph was clocked at Aberdaron on the Llyn Peninsula, and gusts of 78mph recorded at Pembrey Sands, Carmarthenshire. Thousands of homes in Ireland were left without electricity overnight as it battered its way over to us.)

We’ve got to stop making the same mistakes over and over.
It’s cost us a play-off spot this season
We need a defensive coach, we need a new goalkeeping coach and we need a goalkeeper that’s not frozen to his line every time the ball comes into the box.

Match stats:
Possession: 70% - 30%
Shots: 14 - 8
On target: 7 - 4
Corners: 10 - 6
Fouls: 7 - 15
Bookings: 1 - 4
Attendance: 18,192

Once again we dominated a match, and once again we threw away a lead at the end. So disappointing after complete domination of Hull we go to sleep and cannot see out the win. It seems we disintegrate when under pressure, not helped by hesitant full backs and a goalkeeper that freezes under pressure.
