Next up we entertain Charlton on Thursday night at the Liberty for the first time in 10 years, Nathan Dyer scoring in the 1-1 draw.
Ex-Swan Darren Pratley, our Championship play-off hero all those years ago against Forest with that wonder goal, returns for Charlton.

Charlton have slumped to 19th in the table after a flying start to the season. Last time out they lost 2-1 at Derby (Monday). Derby were down to 10 men on 17’ after Kristian Bielik was sent off. Lee Bowyer’s post match comments: “We were poor from start to finish. We were out-battled and out-fought. We were second to all the second balls. We got what we deserved - nothing from the game. We weren't good enough. It's as simple as that. We got in to so many good areas but our quality with our final ball was very, very bad. We kept hitting the front man. Too many people were hiding. It wasn't good."

Charlton striker Macauley Bonne will remain sidelined for the next few weeks with a hamstring injury.
He scored two goals first half in their home win against Bristol City on Boxing Day before going off injured at half time, and consequently missed the defeat at Derby on Monday night.

In this topsy-turvy division, where any team can beat the other, last night’s surprise results were:
QPR 6 Cardiff 1 (ex-Swan Jazz Richards played for Cardiff. QPR’s biggest win for 20 years!)
Huddersfield 2 Stoke 5 ( 5th against 4th from bottom, both recently PL teams.

Bristol City 0 Brentford 4 (little Brentford flying at the moment in 3rd place).
Fulham 1 Reading 2 (Fulham one of the favourites to bounce straight back to PL).
Swans can move into a play off spot with a win tonight.

Woodman, Roberts, Cabango, Hoorn(Wilmot 58’), Naughton, Byers, Grimes, Dhanda(Celina 65’), Ayew, Baston(Fulton 86’), Routledge
Subs: Nordfelt, John, Fulton, MacKay, Celina, Kalulu, Wilmot

Swansea 1 (Dhanda 14’) - Charlton 0
Six changes from the Barnsley match: Connor Roberts, Mike van der Hoorn, George Byers, Yan Dhanda, Wayne Routledge and Borja Baston.
It took the Swans only 14 mins to open the scoring, Dhanda firing home what turned out to be the winner. First half we should have scored more and sealed the win but chances were wasted by Baston and Ayew and Byers hitting the post.
Second half was Charlton’s as they pegged us back from the off. Hoorn who had an excellent game went off injured on 58’ with a reoccurrence of his knee injury (brought back to soon?), and we looked vulnerable thereafter.
We held on for the win though, which took us up to 6th in the table

A game of two halves for us. Very pleasing first half, a performance more like what we want to see and then, as we did so many times last season, we took a 1-0 and sat back. Probably lucky in the end to hold on for the 3 points but we did and it takes us up into the play-off places once again. I can't believe we're up there to be honest.
