It took a last minute penalty from 27 goal striker Solanke for Bournemouth to draw with Fulham at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday in front of a 10k capacity crowd after the division’s leading scorer Mitrovic had scored goal number 41 of the season.
Yellow cards were flying everywhere with ten dished out in total, seven for Fulham, by referee Graham Scott in this top of the table clash.
With the runners up spot to Fulham still not decided, favourites Bournemouth will be going all out for the win on Tuesday night to widen the gap.
Swans meanwhile, eight matches undefeated, will be no easy pickings, with Obafemi and Piroe in good form in front of goal.
The reverse fixture was a resounding 4-0 defeat for the Swans last November, Solanke and Anthony scoring a brace each for the Cherries.
Our team that day: Hamer; Bennett, Naughton, Manning; Laird, Grimes, Downes, Bidwell; Ntcham, Paterson; Piroe
Of that starting eleven, Laird and Bidwell are no longer with us and Hamer and Bennett are out of favour.
Hopefully we’ll fare better this time around with an improved team in good form.

Unchanged, Paterson missing again, Ntcham not even sub:

Swansea City: Andy Fisher, Ben Cabango, Kyle Naughton, Joel Latibeaudiere, Cyrus Christie, Flynn Downes, Matt Grimes (c), Ryan Manning, Joel Piroe, Hannes Wolf, Michael Obafemi.

Subs: Ben Hamer, Jay Fulton, Korey Smith, Kyle Joseph, Nathanael Ogbeta, Cameron Congreve, Joel Cotterill.

Swans 3 (Piroe 6’, 12’, Christie 58’) -
Bournemouth 3 (Moore 72’, 90’, Solanke 81’ pen)

It was only eight days since our 4-4 draw at Reading after being 1-4 up. Yet again tonight it was another healthy lead blown. Cruising at 3-0 after 58 mins with some great football from the Swans, the 6’5” giant Keiffer Moore comes on at 62 mins and turns the match. There was nobody big enough to mark him as 6’2” Cabango had gone off injured at 48 mins to be replaced by Smith and we knew we were in trouble. Latibeaudiere 5’11”- Naughton 5’11”- Manning 5’11’ as a back three. Where was 6’2” Ryan Bennett or 6’5” Finley Burns for some height in defence to counteract him, not even subs. At the end balls were raining into our goalmouth for Moore and the big Bournemouth forwards as they went all out for the winner with Swans desperately trying to keep them out, all semblance of our passing game gone.
We were lucky to come out of it with a draw at the end, such a shame after a brilliant first half.

The difference was the subs tonight. Bournemouth had such a strong bench, whereas ours was weak in comparison.
Bournemouth subs bench:
Freddie Woodman, Chris Mepham, Robbie Brady, Kieffer Moore, Ben Pearson, Phil Billing, Siriki Dembele.
