Excellent win yesterday and a great second half comeback after being outplayed and a goal down at half time, making it six wins from six pre-season friendly games. This match being by far the toughest against top opposition.

Atalanta manager Gian Piero Gasperini said:
“It was a good performance for an hour, apart from that five-minute wobble
at the back, when we struggled to get settled with the fresh legs coming off the bench and many changes.
We conceded those two goals in quick succession, but overall it was a good game and we just lost focus for that period.
It’s always disappointing to lose, but it’s better to play a friendly rather than just have a series of training sessions. That’s the point of them.
We just finished two tough weeks of training, these games will help us achieve match fitness and we can learn some useful things from them.”

Ominously, ex-Swan and one of the Potter runaways who is now Brighton’s assistant head of recruitment, Kyle Macaulay, was scouting at our match yesterday.
